Social Media Assignment Part 2: Social Media Experiment & Blog Post

Based on what I found in tracking my social media and how I use to record it was doing it old school writing it on a paper and writing the time and what I was doing which I have shown on part 1. The default option I created a span of social- media free time and see what happens which was a 24-hour period time. I think mine was a 2-to-4-hour period I just logged everything from me waking up to me going to sleep.  I saw this experiment as a test that I needed to know myself if I would be able to live without my phone and I did for like 4 hours I was home with my family just relaxing not looking at no phone but interacting with my family. You’ve got lots of things on your plate, and only so many hours in the day to get everything done. So, you put your head down and focus on what you know, especially when it comes to social media marketing, the use of being on the phone or any other tasks that must be done. As you can see social media experiments are never perfect so we just have to flow with what we would like to achieve with the experiment. There are many factors are out of your control, like organic reach as it is often determined by unique social media algorithms. But that doesn’t mean you can't generate meaningful social media results. You learn from your learnings. Whether experiments were successful experiment or not the key is to have fun and learn as you go to see how far you can go without the use of technology and learn something new enjoy with what is around you and have fun. Make new memories without using social media, technology and enjoy what is important. My experience like many people have described and I have seen myself is that social media is an addiction. But at least for me, stopping required only mild concentration at first, then became second nature. It is hard to put the technology away when interesting things pop up and you want, to know what it is about and forget what you are supposed to be doing. Technology is dangerous even when you get in the car and like they say no text and driving it is a deadly weapon so pretty much it’s the same when you have in your hand getting distracted and not using your time proactively to get things done. But what can we do we are only human we learn by the moment and we time manage, we set schedules for ourselves and we achieve what we want to once we put our mind to it. Like they say the mind is a powerful thing when you fill it with positive thoughts your life will start to change.
