BEWARE! Do Not Use https://yourkarma.com!!! I got their device, which took 3 weeks! Paid FAR too much for slow wifi, so I returned it and cancelled service dissatisfied within two weeks. They said in the agreement I'd get $100 back for returning their device. IT'S BEEN 9 PLUS MONTHS NOW! AND NO REFUND! Emailing does nothing and they do not even have a phone number or customer service. Horrible company! Working Remotely in Digital Marketing

There are so many things that help a remote worker, but when the field of work is digital marketing, the most important of all is a connection to the internet. The price for that can get pretty steep depending on where you live and what type of connection you need. Being connected is a key aspect of a "Social Athlete," one of my company's strengths, and being able to adapt and respond to a changing social environment demands constant access. A company new to this arena is Karma, "The Pay-As-You-Go Mobile Wi-Fi Provider." Recently, they ran a promotion on Twitter giving away free hot-spots asking users to tweet with the hashtag #NeedsKarma with one giveaway per day for 7 days.

Seeing as I'm currently working remotely in digital marketing, having a pay-as-you-go mobile Wi-Fi hot-spot would be incredibly useful. Unfortunately, their coverage isn't "Can you hear me now?" levels. Although, as they grow, being an early adopter would be beneficial. So I tweeted at them in the comfort of my apartment in snow-covered Indiana.

That's the best part about working remotely. With advances in wireless connectivity, we can accomplish "the daily grind" anywhere in the world and even on the beach. Just don't get sand in your ports...
