I have a question and need an outside perspective on the issue

I need an outside view of this situation.

For anyone who uses the Youtube APP, not the website, is it bugged right now for anyone else?? I view videos in landscape mode (holding my phone sideways) and when I slide my finger up from the bottom it's supposed to show recommended videos, but right now I'd be lucky if it showed a bunch of buggy looking 'mix' playlist things and there's a white bar where the filters are supposed to be. Sometimes it won't even show those, though, sliding my finger up on the screen doesn't do ANYthing right now. I've checked my Old and Current phones BOTH and it's like that with both of them. This has happened on rare occasions before but NORMALLY; I'd just press the 'next video' or 'previous video' button and then once that loaded and started playing I'd just go back to the first video I'd been watching, But Now the 'next' and 'previous' video buttons are BOTH Gone (so is the auto-play slider but I don't care as much about that thing, I never use auto-play anyway). Is this just an issue/glitch with the UI?? Is anyone else having this trouble? Please let me know, I need more info to settle my anxieties.

I've been having horribly annoying audio bug issues with my Current Phone (A separate issue) which is why I was using my Old Phone to begin with, but these bugs are trying my sanity, I'm not joking about that.

Please, tell me if you're experiencing this too.

Fuck me, I've had this iPad mini since 2015 and back in September 2024, its final update took place, but sadly it has officially become too obsolete to run YouTube on it :( I tried using the mobile site and it was hell

Has anyone else had this really STUPID problem with the YouTube app when you try to shuffle a Playlist with a couple hundred videos or so and it immediately starts at video #201/436 or something like that so you either miss out on half the Playlist or you scroll all the way up, anyone else???

never actually thought they could make the youtube app worse but look at that.

i literally have the tallest phone known to man yet i am physically unable to see any of the channel's most recent/featured videos in favor of an algorithmically picked pool of videos in this new For You column.

and before you had the entire bottom half of the screen vacant in terms of input - meaning you could very easily swipe right to get to the Videos tab. the part ive marked in yellow here is literally the only space on screen you can do that now.

theyve made accessing THE VIDEOS TAB on YOUTUBE an active nuisance.

Did the youtube app seriously just have an update that makes it so that if you have your history turned off you are not allowed to see your fucking home dash??? Im sorry what the fuck

You dont need to know my damn watch history to recommend me shit. Thats just so damn stupid. Im not fucking turning my damn watch history just so a mega corporation can have more of my damn data just so i can have one of the fucking basic features of its app. What the fuck.

Now my Youtube for Android App started doing this annoying thing where if I get a notification sound while watching something, it sets the video sound waaaay down, and the only way to get it back up to normal is to restart the app, NOT FUN.
