Post-metamorphic Frosted Flatwoods Salamander (this picture is from early summer). The Amphibian Foundation holds the only captive collection of this species (Ambystoma cingulatum) on the planet, and are currently building a state-of-the-art ‘salamander lab’ to rear them to adulthood. At that point we will begin captive breeding experiments.
