I love (hate) that part where when men express a genuine enjoyment of spending time with their girlfriends (like time that doesn't involve sex, especially if it's something coded feminine like shopping), other straight men will disparage the guy... even if it's apparent that women think what the guy is doing is good? like? It's not about appearing attractive enough to women to get lucky or whatever, it's just about posturing as manly men in front of each other and it's so funny (read: terrible) to see guys try to tear other guys down for actually being good partners.
