Jaune: What? Not what you were expecting? I just really love watching Planet Wars, y'know? That scene where she's like, "You were my sister, and I loved you!" Ooh~! I get chills every time!

Jaune: What? You thought it was something else? C'mon! We gotta watch the movies first, but we gotta watch the last trilogy first because it's the beginning, and then after all that, we'll probably watch all the series, like Duplicates and all that other crazy stuff.

Jaune: You in~?

Jaune: 'Cause if not, well, the door's right there.

I commissioned Yu Enmi on vgen to illustrate this comic based on Shaw's Operator Record "Flammables." It was a story that moved me even in the VN talking heads format and I wanted to see it fully fleshed out.

Commissioned Yu Enmi on Vgen to illustrate the stupidest idea that has popped into my head

I commissioned Yu Enmi (https://vgen.co/yuenmi) to make this comic based on Chapter 4 of the XDU story BAYONET CHARGE, "Assault on Vimana."

It's the most action heavy sequence in the whole storyline and I really wanted to actually have illustrated all of the action that they were implying when the character portraits mashed up against each other.

Some things have been abridged to make the comic a slim 22 pages long and also to make it a story that can stand mostly on its own.

Commissioned a comic based on Myrtle's Operator Record cutscene. It was an interesting set of scenes that was mostly delivered via talking heads in a visual novel style and I felt like it needed full illustrations.

This particular scene has always stuck out to me as the full thing is sort of "Myrtle bumbles her way to victory" but the main turning point is that she waves her banner as like a way to lead the charge not realizing that to the enemy it looks like she's surrendering which her team immediately takes as an opportunity to ambush the enemy.

I had read it over again a few times while putting together a script for this particular comic and I ended up making the comic script what I remembered it being, which is the merchant caravan being assaulted by bandits. In actuality, the story is them assaulting a bandit camp to get stolen goods back.

I also changed some other things around like Hoger shoots the bandit leader instead of running up and punching him because I could not envision a scenario in which they are outgunned but somehow a bunch of guys who were previously suppressed by heavy fire could run out and get in a fistfight with the attackers.
