i need to ramble that i love Yurrycanon's "If" so much that i'm so glad "Through the World" is what it i (most of these are just personal interpretations and projections actl esp with how my life has been going lately)

whether "Through the World" is meant as a direct reply to "If" or it's simply smth it references as a callback, i think it just works so well bcs "If" felt more abt navigating thru uncertainty (the "what ifs") in our journeys while "Through the World" tells you to embrace uncertainty.

"If" rly resonates to me on so many levels bcs i have always been wondering abt so many possibilities, and i could never shake off the "what ifs" that come with making a decision. there's no decision i've made that came with 0 regrets, but still i walk thru this current journey with these choices bcs i want to see where it leads me to.

"Through the World" then afffirms that these decisions i've made could lead (or alr have led) to something wonderful, and this journey might alr be the best version i already have out of all the other decisions i could've made. through spontaneity, we could create smth beautiful even if it was different than what we expected.

both these songs also talk abt starting over/going back to the past and doing better esp after seeing how our current journey would end up, but it could also mean that we couldn't attain smth that only exists in this current journey, so maybe this journey we have isn't as bad as we think it is.

the timing for "Through the World" releasing is so uncanny to me tho bcs it's like they went thru my mind actl and saw how happy i've been since "If"
