It was a surprise to have seen Xiao so close to the city, though not too surprising that he seemed to still be keeping his distance. The events of the festival though took place throughout Mondstadt, so maybe there was a way for Xiao to still enjoy the atmosphere, without having to deal with too many people. Maybe during the night? Either way, he was curious enough to glide down from the plaza, skipping through the streets, pausing only to carefully avoid any feline that happened to stand in his way. Those things seemed to enjoy trying to catch him off guard, his nose ticklish as he finally made it safely outside the city gates and once he was alone, he vanished into the winds, appearing just behind Xiao, sitting on a low branch of an apple tree - the fruit now happily being ate as he gave the Yaksha.

“Hehe! Care for an apple?”

ANTAGONISTIC.    dangerous to each other  /  dangerous to others  /  unpredictable  /  rivals  / petty /  developing into sexual or romantic tension  /  based off family matters  / based off circumstance /  based of professional matters  /  based off misunderstanding or lies  /  conflict of ideology  /  betrayal  /  hero - villain dynamic  /  enemies  /  fight club  /  friends turned enemies  / lovers turned enemies  /  exes turned enemies  /  again, read friendship section above.  i don’t think they’d actually be enemies, but i do think ningguang being slightly antagonistic towards zhongli out of sheer pettiness is hilarious.  obviously, she doesn’t know who he really is and she doesn’t know who she’s reincarnated from, but she has no time or energy for annoying men who talk too much.  i do think any antagonism between them would be completely one-sided on zhongli’s part because i do hope zhongli just finds her amusing instead much to ningguang’s dismay.

Bathing in the warm, comforting rays of the beaming sun, the gentle breeze that strung through the air was accompanied by quiet chirps of birds from near and afar. 

Among those, one happens to be perched on top of a nimble finger, mesmerized as another grazes it with delicate touches.
