Winryrockbae has generously donated a gorgeous Makkachin t-shirt for us to give away as a prize. This shirt will be given away by raffle. Sizes available will be XS-2XL.
Raffle Rules:
1- One raffle ticket will be awarded for each fanwork you complete and post for the event. There is no limit to the amount of raffle tickets you can get!
2- The drawing will be done one day after Yuuri Week ends, to allow time for any last minute pieces.
3- I accidentally posted this a day late, which I feel is a bit unfair, so if you post a fanwork for day one of Yuuri Week by the end of day two, it will still count for the raffle. Similarly, if you posted a fanwork for day two by the end of day three, it will still count.

| For Yuuri Week 2019 | Day 6 | Life and Love (Dreams or Memories)
Every time Yuuri returns to Ice Castle Hasetsu after time away feels a lot like the very first — the wonder of stepping out onto the ice never ceases.
The rink itself hasn’t changed very much since Yuuri was small. Years ago, that felt restrictive, as if Yuuri had grown too large for it. He’d yearned to move on to something bigger, and Detroit was just that.
Bigger, louder, more crowded. The complete opposite of the Ice Castle, but it was one step closer to his goals and that was all that mattered.
Now Yuuri is home again after earning silver in the Grand Prix final, and he welcomes the feel of familiar ice.
Victor is reluctantly in St. Petersburg, whipping together programs for Russian Nationals, so it’s only Yuuri today. He takes his time warming up, pausing on center ice to tilt his head back and close his eyes.
If he pretends just enough, he can see his younger self here. Messy spins and flubbed jumps, powered through by sheer stubbornness. Yuuko and Nishigori’s faces still equally soft with youth, weaving in and out of his compulsive figures just to tease him.
He’d chase them in revenge, until he got older and the only thing Yuuri was chasing was Victor. And Victor was a dream.
Yuuri opens his eyes again and skates over to where he left his phone on the boards. Victor picks up on the second ring.
“Yuuri! What’s up?”
“Nothing,” Yuuri smiles softly, putting Victor on speaker as he skates a lazy lap. “I just wanted to hear your voice.”
Because Victor is not a dream any longer. He is Yuuri’s loving fiance and dedicated coach — belonging as much in Yuuri’s future as he does in his past.
“I miss you too, my Yuuri,” Victor sighs on the other end.
Yuuri cradles the phone close. “Tell me about your day.”
He should be training, but instead he just loops, letting Victor’s words wash over him.
Once, there was a little boy who skated to the sound of Victor Nikiforov’s programs. Now, there is a man who skates the voice of the man he loves.
If anyone’s interested, more pics and also construction notes below the cut.
I’m not gonna pretend I’m 100% happy with him, guys. His body is super awesome and his hair is kinda cool but his head is just... not quite right. I mean, it’s huge, but that’s OK because it’s supposed to be. I’m just not sure this style of face works for him? Maybe I should’ve changed the eyes. His smirk isn’t the best, either, but embroidering faces is not my strong point, and normally I get my sister to do it for me, but I didn’t this time. Maybe his hair needs to be longer? I don’t know, it’s supposed to be gelled back after all.
Anyway. The pattern is based on this Peter Pan pattern by Kosucas on Etsy. Because no way could I draft the whole pattern from scratch. And the Peter Pan worked well because he’s skinny just like Yuuri. I did have to make a lot of extra bits and changes to make the Eros costume but that bit worked really well.
His hair is based on the Eros Yuuri nendoroid. Here they are for comparison. Obviously you don’t get the same clean lines with felt as you do with plastic, but the hair came OK.
He’s cute, anyway. If I do another one I’ll do him with his glasses and non-skating hair which might be even better?
He has pipe cleaner arms so he’s bendy. Which is cool, and also saves him the indignity of being poked with a chopstick any more than he already was whilst being stuffed.
Such Eros? I’m not sure a felt man can convey Eros to be honest, but this is my best shot!
