Okay because it’s Simping Hours For Me, au idea.
Yue lives and joins the gaang, Sokka is the new moon spirit.
This, of course, gets brown-haired Yue because “””””plot”””””” (read: because I’m simping). Also Yue is a waterbender because I said so. She, because she no longer has servants to put up her hair anymore she just ties them in the two braids that she has.
This could result in any ship, though the way I will be continuing with the au it will result in Yue x Zuko x Sokka x Suki
Yue gets to explore an identity to herself outside of “crown princess” and I like to think that she loves learning about the natural world and how it affects the lives of the people.
Katara and Yue, though they don’t get along at first (Yue is a princess so she doesn’t have practical skills and Katara is like “You could at least try!”) but I like to think that they bond over Sokka being an idiot. Also! Katara teaching Yue to waterbend.
Aang and Yue are good friends. Yue was held back by her duties to her tribe but Aang teaches her how to have fun and they both bond over just enjoying the world. Aang teaches Yue about the monk’s spirituality and Yue finds a huge interest in the air nomad culture.
Toph and Yue. Okay so their friendship would be difficult at first, but there is one thing that ties them together: they’re both rich kids. I do not know how to write their friendship but I am 100000% sure that they have a good one.
Suki and Yue! Suki is like “who’s this?” “Oh she’s my girlfriend”. Suki is kinda jealous because she isn’t sure if Sokka and Yue are poly or not and is too afraid to ask.
Invasion of the black sun: Yue helps with the waterbenders and stuff. Idk.
Zuko and Yue. Yue has only met Zuko once, and that was when he was attacking Katara. Yue is like “hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but I don’t have a personal grudge against you and you seem pretty useful to us, so join us maybe?” Zuko: “didn’t you have white hair last time we met and Sokka was the one with the brown hair?” Yue: “Yeah but then he saved my life and accidentally took on part of the moon spirit’s life” Zuko: “that’s rough buddy.”
