Random thought for a silly yyh story:

Reader is sliiightly allergic to paranormal things. It's not really a true allergy. It's just that you're ever so slightly spiritually aware, but unfortunately that awareness manifests by causing you to sneeze.

So, Kuwabara causes the reader to get a tad bit sniffly.

Yusuke causes a few sneezes every now and then.

Kurama is the pollen to your hay fever.

And any time spent around Hiei means you're taking allergy meds. The strong ones.

I think it'd be even more funny if the reader was friends with Keiko and introduced to the group through her.

"Keiko, I think I might be allergic to your boyfriend's friends," you mumble jokingly through a very stuffy nose.

"Haha, right..." Laughs Keiko nervously.

Botan had already informed her of the situation, having heard about the seemingly random instances of spiritual awareness manifesting through sinus maladies. You were an oddity, even if your condition wasn't entirely unheard of.

"Anyways," you perked up quickly, "that Shuichi guy was really nice! I'm gonna go ask him for his number!"

Bless your heart.

Yomi x (demon) fem!reader

Setting: canon

A/N: slowly coming into the YYH fandom. 🎀

Gandara was ruled by Yomi, one of the three kings of demon world. Rumors had it that Yomi could hear every word that was said in his domain.

(Name)’s mother was currently telling her five daughters this while cooking, none of them were listening really except for her eldest.

“You think Yomi has better hearing than me? I can hear pretty far.”

“Don’t even, Yomi hears everything. I bet he’s listening now.”

(Name)’s mother waved her spatula at her eldest daughter who was pointing to her ears that twitched a bit.

“He’s not listening. He has too many to things to do.”

“Don’t say that, (Name). The rumors are true.”

“Oh, yeah?”

Clearing her throat (Name) wanted to prove to her mother she was wrong, so with a smile twirled in her mother’s kitchen and yelled how taxes were a bit high in Gandara and how sexy Yomi was. All while her mother try to shush her.

“I certainly hope the king of Gandara doesn’t visit me, I’m looking for a mate right now and I would definitely choose him.”

“I would too sis!”

(Name)’s sister chimed in both complimenting the one and only Yomi. (Name)’s mother eventually gave up and continued making dinner while (Name) kept picking on her mother.

Later that night, Yomi was in his office when he remembered what one of his civilians shouted about him. Saying it wasn’t possible that he could hear her such a distance and among other things.

This wasn’t the case of course.

Yomi heard every word she said and while he was a patient man he wanted to know who that was, and with his influence Yomi was going to use it. Yomi wasn’t too sure about the mating thing but he was interested.

Roughly a week later (Name) received a letter from the king himself, the letter was simple in saying that Yomi heard every word that she spoke and to keep it down. Surprised that the rumors were true (Name) held on to the letter as it was from Yomi himself and did as she was told. Until a week later (Name) found herself casually mentioning that she would like to meet Yomi face to face one day to her mother and received another note from Yomi inviting her to his residence.

Yomi really did hear everything.
