Zachariah ‘Zac’ Ledford
Zac lay on the ground for a few seconds after his fall, forearms braced underneath him as he did a brief injury check on himself. Not noticing anything new except for the possibility of a new bruise on his side where is bag had landed. Glancing to his side where his bag sat on the ground to find everything in still in his bag. ‘At least it’s not as bad as it could be’ he thought to himself with a sigh before moving to stand up, pausing at the sound of a voice close to him. Turning his head he saw the new girl crouched beside him, his shoulders drooping slightly and a blush making itself known across his cheeks ‘maybe not, what a great first impression’ he sighed internally.
Tucking his legs underneath him he pushed himself into a kneel and looked around to check that no one had gotten into the crossfire of his dramatic fail of his coordination, seeing nothing he turned back to the blonde. “No damage done, I don’t think” he smiled sheepishly, “thank you for asking though, not many do any more” he grinned, a pink tinge still across his cheeks. Rearranging his bag he rubbed his side tenderly frowning as he went over her words, a habit he had due to sometimes missing words or translating them wrong. He frowned slightly when he recalled her words, “You’re the new exchange student? French?” he asked her curiously.
They were told there was going to be a new exchange student joining them in their homeroom class over the past few days, but that was all they had been told, her student guide was to be assigned to her in home room on her first day as normal. He now understood her confusion, she was probably trying to get to homeroom, a challenge even after a few months of being there let alone on the first day with nothing but a useless map, he was familiar with her situation.

Still frozen in the hallway between lockers, Michelle reminded herself to thoroughly protest the move to America when she returned home. Not only did she have extreme difficulty finding anything in the swarm of bodies, regardless of the few extra inches, but she had also had multiple elbows jar into her side, to the point she could safely say a bruise would be forming tomorrow. A quick glance down at the ‘map’ she had been supplied proved no help. A quick mutter of an insult to some form of deity and the blonde was already regretting every decision of choosing a public school over the private one she was offered.
An expression of distaste forming on her features, Michelle made to move out of the oncoming traffic of students, a fine hand running through her hair. A quick glance around the hallway proved no help, and she had nearly given up and was about turn to leave to somewhere less crowded before a thud stopped her in her path. Pausing to glance behind her, Michelle noticed the crowd separating to avoid something on the ground, and, worried someone had perhaps dropped something, she made her way through the other students.
Another student practically flattened onto the ground was not quite what she was expecting.
An eyebrow raised, and noting how no-one stopped to help, Michelle moved to crouch next to the guy.
“Dieu, are you alright?” Resisting the temptation to poke him, she instead settled for questioning if he had injured himself (she suspected with how calm everyone was this was a common occurrence, and that can’t be the best for someone’s health).
Zachariah ‘Zac’ Ledford
Zac navigated his way carefully through the halls on his way to his locker, avoiding bumping into people with the crowded space. When he reached his locker he spun the combination with practiced certainty, opening his locker once it was unlocked. Looking over his timetable which was stuck to the inside of his locker he organised his books for the day, putting those he didn't need at the back and those he would at the front before putting those he would need first in his bag. He double checked his books to his timetable before closing and relocking his locker before glancing at the time and beginning his walk to homeroom which much to his annoyance was at the other side of the school, he would never understand why they didn't organise them by homeroom and make the lockers near the homeroom class room, it wasn't like it didn't work in other schools. Stopping to move out of the way of a large group which refused to separate to convenience others he was reminded of yet another flaw in the design of the locker system at this school, the hallways being to small to accommodate for the amount of people who walked through them. The set up making the main hallways more crowded than necessary, especially with the groups who socialised in front of the lockers who made the already barely big enough walking space smaller. His eyes swept through and over the people he saw, the over part not particularly difficult considering he was at least a head taller than most, as he kept an eye out for any of his friends at their lockers or on their way to. He was about half way to homeroom when he spotted an unfamiliar blonde girl ahead who looked both lost and severely displeased. He paused for a moment questioning if he should ask her if she required help or not, giving a slight shrug to himself he began to make a slight detour to see if she needed help finding any where, being well aware of the difficulty involved when finding places in this school when everything looked so similar. He had however forgotten about the slight raise in the floor at that corner which had been the cause of his literal downfall more than once. In his attempt to prevent himself from stumbling he ended up clipping himself and making it worse, accepting the fall he resigned to bracing himself for the impact with the floor. Some who saw it happening moved away slightly, most likely aware of Zac's tendency to get closer to the ground than normal.
Michelle Kerr
Admittedly, her initial reservations about continuing her schooling in America were minor. Easily fixed, she told herself. Dazzle them all with your stunning, mysterious French aura. It wasn’t like she had trouble winning the hearts of others, it was more how she was going to leave her mark on this American school she was subjected to.
And the fact she was French and in an American school [which she assumed would be horrifying to say the least].
Unfortunately, as she found out in the first two minutes of her presence on school grounds, it was neither of the above reasons. It was the fact that holy hell how where you supposed to find anything here?
Teachers long hidden in their classrooms, students scrambling for lockers and books, all the while Michelle glancing about trying to find this room in a maze of bodies. Even with her height, plus small heels [she hadn’t gotten away with the four inches she wanted, unfortunately], rooms were hard to find and all similarly bland.
It was an honest-to-god wonder how anyone had survived schooling here.
Flower crowns and “long” hair
Title: Flower crowns and “long” hair Characters: Michelle Kerr (@mimi-911 ), Zachariah Ledford Pairings: Zachelle (Michelle/Zac) Genre: Fluff Warnings: None Words: 373 Summary: Zac thinks his hair is getting too long, Michelle thinks it’s just right for flower crowns.
Zac shifted his head to look up at Michelle, as she braided flowers into his hair which was starting to get to a point that its length wasannoying for him. Despite barely brushing his ears, but brushed them none the less, but she hadn't let him cut it yet. "Can I cut my hair yet?" he asked her as she looked down at him annoyed, his movement preventing her from seeing what she was doing.
"No." she stated before lightly pushing his head back into the position it was before and resumed her task.
Zac gave a small huff but compliantly kept still. "But Michelle, it's too long" he complained to her good heartedly.
Michelle gave a small sigh at his complaint, "it's not even close to being long!" she said with a hint of exasperation, Zac classified anything over 3cm long when it came to his own hair, but he sort of had an excuse, not that Michelle cared, his old length was too short to braid flowers.
"It's almost touching my ears though" he said as if the statement proved his point
"You've had it longer before" she pointed out which received a grumble of disapproval
"Not by choice, I used to have it shorter" he told her, looking up at her as best as he could without moving his head
"Yes, but then I couldn't put flowers in it" she said as if it was the end
"But you can still put flowers in it if I get it cut to what it is normally"
"It's easier when it's longer" she pointed out, gesturing to her work so far despite him not being able to see it.
"It's annoying, and it gets uncomfortable" he sighed slightly giving up at trying to look at her through the corner of his eye and shifted his head again to look back at her, giving her an apologetic smile for moving.
"Maybe next week" Michelle returned his sigh with one of her own before kissing him on the tip of his nose
"Fine" he said with a mock humph before flashing her a grin and sat up slightly, giving her a light kiss before going back to his previous position on her lap.
Crying baby, stressed Zac
Title: Crying baby, stressed Zac Characters: Zachariah Ledford, Michelle Kerr (@mimi-911) Pairings: Zachelle (Zac/Michelle) Genre: Fluff, Family Warnings: None Words: 452 Summary: Zac is still getting used to being a father of a 3 month old and he doesn’t really know how to deal with his crying baby. But Michelle always makes things better.
Zac stood with his 3 month old daughter in his arms, bouncing lightly as he tried to get her to sleep. She had stopped crying now which was a relief, crying baby meant completely stressed Zac, though he had been starting to get the hang of it but he still had no idea what he was doing. His eyes widened as his daughter kid made a gurgling sound, hoping that she wasn’t going to start crying again. He hadn’t really picked out the sounds yet, what cry meant what, what noises meant what, he just knew that he wanted to stop the crying as soon as it started as it meant that his baby girl wasn’t happy. However his hopes were shot down as she started crying again, hushing her he gently stroked her hair, trying to calm her as he attempted to figure out what was wrong.
She had been fed only a little while ago, he just changed her nappy, a task that he was gradually getting the hang of and only needed minimal guidance from Michelle this time. He didn’t know what to do. Tucking the crying kid securely in his arms he went to find Michelle, she was much better at this than him, she’d just touch the kid and she’d stop crying. “Michelle!” he called to her, the stress clear in his voice, quickly moving towards the direction her voice came from when she gave a hum in reply to her name being called. Walking into the lounge room he found her sitting on the couch watching TV. Moving in front of her he held their kid out to her, begging her to take the bundle, “she won’t stop crying, I don’t know what to do” Zac said helplessly, his eyes still wide from the stress.
Michelle gave a small laugh at her husband’s stress and stood up, taking the child in her arms, who immediately stopped crying. Zac made a confused sound, almost like a whimper, his eyebrows coming together in a frown, a look of pain in his eyes. “She hates me” he said to her, looking at the baby who was now happily playing with her mother’s hair. Maybe it was his size, or maybe his temperature, he didn’t know but Michelle was definitely the kid’s favourite.
Michelle shook her head at his statement, leaning up and giving him a light kiss on the lips which he instinctively leant down to receive. “She doesn’t hate you, she just wanted her mum, and she’s probably hungry again” She reassured him, readjusting the baby in one arm she caressed his slightly stubbly cheek as a sign of affection, smiling affectionately as he leaned into her touch.
Are Zach and Michelle still together?
I never hear much about them anymore so I was just wondering.
