Ham fails to acknowledge that over 97% of all scientists accept evolution (the number is higher among those working in the life and Earth sciences), and his colleagues are in the distinct minority. This further proves the point that evolution is not a scientific controversy; it is a political one. Unfortunately, there is a large disparity between the scientific community and the public, as only 39% of American adults believe in evolution, a number considerably lower than almost every other developed country.

Here’s a teenager more people should be looking up to. Zack Kopplin, a 19-year-old from Louisiana, is a science activist fighting to keep creationism education away from public classrooms.
Zack is one of the many faces behind the Louisiana Science Education Act, the adoption of the new life science textbooks in public schools, the exposure of the creationist voucher program and he's currently advocating for a trillion dollar fund campaign towards scientific research and development.
He also put Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum to shame when they upped the question about evolution being something “very controversial” until these days, even though Zach’s arguments were backed up by many Nobel laureates.
