And now he spends it alone in an institution

I think one of the reasons zack stuck with me so much isn’t just because of how attached you get to him, but because even in the last season you were just so proud of him. Proud for figuring out all the traps and clues and puzzles and the lasers, proud for blowing himself up to save hodgins, and proud that, even after he had betrayed his friends and lied to them and aided a serial killer, at the end he chose to confess and turn himself in and give up gormogon rather than let his friends be in any more danger
