it took me an embarrassing amount of time to think of peeps but here's a random selection!
Why you won't date Zafirah and Zaeim?
Valid, peeps are sometimes hard to think of for these sometimes, but thank you for thinking of some anyways! <3
Zafirah, at least as she appears is in season 4, is still so angry; understandable, and I like Zafirah, but it takes work to be with someone that angry. Also, if I wrong her greatly, I do not wanna get sniped by her sniper rifle.
Zaeim, my good dude, on whom I have a little crush, is another boyfriend material character, and I am a very hopeful person myself but he feels like he's idealistic and it will hurt to see him get disappointed by the realistation that he may have set his goals too high at some point :( i'm speaking in general, not for any concrete thing, btw
What is Zaeim's homeplane and how did it influence his design?
Zaeim is from Amonkhet! Her main thing is that she seeks out corrupt and dishonest leaders and “removes them from their position.” This was directly influenced from finding out about Bontu’s betrayal, and deciding that no one else should have to be subject to such leaders.
She actually started as a red/black khenra, then she was a Grixis-colored Minotaur, then just red/black, and finally Mardu. I knew I wanted her to use lightning magic from the start, and lightning is close to fire, which some flavor texts reference the minotaurs there using, so it sets her apart from the others.
I’m a little late for Fanwalker Friday, but I did some Origins cards for 4 more of my fanwalkers!
I wish mtg.design had auto resizing for the title and type lines, and 3-color color indicators, but their mockups look so nice!
I do wanna mention that all of these ‘walkers are 3-color, but they don’t pick up their 3rd colors until after their first planeswalk.
Can we know more about Zaeim Stormbringer? Lightning magic seems like they would fit in with the Kolaghan a bit, did that help them cope?
Traveling with the Kolaghan helped her cope for a little while, as she was able to freely express her emotions through her magic without worry of consequence.
Once she realized, though, that the people she had been spending this time with were uncivilized and had no regard for any sort of structure or honor, she decided to leave. Before she did though, she struck down a few of the “leaders” she deemed the worst...gotta display her dominance and all ;)
Zaeim is extremely ambitious, and seeks to further her own power and skills, but she also believes in having an amount of honor, and not killing without reason.
Black Lightning Zaeim Full name: Zaeim Name pronunciation: zah-eem Creature type: minotaur warrior Home plane: Amonkhet First planeswalk: Tarkir Color identity: red / white / black Zaeim's magic allows her to form and manipulate black lightning, using it to form weapons and strike down her enemies. Always ambitious, she aspired to be the best warrior and leader she could be. However, upon learning the truth about her home, and how her beloved Bontu had conspired with an outsider to manipulate both her gods' and her peoples' history, her spark ignited. A skilled warrior and combat strategist, Zaeim now wanders the Multiverse seeking to strike down those who are unworthy of the power they wield over others. ~ placeholder art by Nils Hamm...Warfire Javelineer was the original inspiration, but I couldn't get it sized right
