Shit, why was the bar so full today? James was half tempted to turn around and go home, but it was still cold and his knee was hurting like a bitch. He saw a spot open at the bar next to a guy that looked just as miserable as he felt. Fuck it. Sitting next to the guy, James waited patiently to put in his order. "Busiest I've ever seen this place," he grumbled to his neighbor.

"Puppies!" Paloma exclaimed rushing towards the playful cluster to give them a cuddle. She had just been on her daily run finishing with a stretch out in the park when she saw Zain walking the muttley crew. She laughed as she greeted each of the dogs separately, "We have go to stop meeting like that," she looking up at Zain, a big grin on her face that she couldn't quite wipe off, the crew just had that effect on her. "And hi," she added to Zain with a chuckle.

Both Alex and Penny brightened at his use of ASL. Alex always worried that there was a world Penny would be denied with so few people able to use it so it was nice to see. Alex chuckled at the dogs names while Penny made her way along the line of dogs, giving each one as much attention as she could muster in the moment.

"Thank you. I always meant to get her a dog but life kinda got in the way. I'm Alex. This is my daughter Penny. We're pretty new to this whole... reality."
