Zape, a D&D 5e homebrew aberration
This creature came to me in a dream, quite literally, so much of its strange lore is either lifted straight from the dream or tweaked a little to make more sense mechanics- or story-wise. It ended up being a bit of a mix between a spectator/beholderkin and a ghost. I actually drew and created this over a year ago and made it the boss of a one-shot I ran, although I’ve taken my lessons from that and edited it since then. I’m sharing it now with the statblock for use in personal games, so that others can play with it too! The solo image can serve as a token in online games or when printed.
