Jared x Zoe: date night

Requested by @jeremytheman sorry for the wait!

I quickly set everything up perfectly for mine and Zoe's date. We've been dating for two months now, and I've never been happier. Today she's coming over for a movie date, and cuddles.

I fluff the pillows and check the time. Zoe will be here any minute. I grin and go on and put the DVD in. A couple minutes later, there is a knock at my door. I answer the door with a smile and immediately wrap Zoe in a hug.

"Oh!" She laughs and hugs back tightly "hey, Jare" she hums softly.

"Hey. You dont mind watching Back to the Future, do you?" I ask. She smiles at me.

"Not at all. I've seen it" Zoe hums. I walk her to the couch and she sits down, picking up the movie case.

"Want anything to drink?" I ask.

"Pepsi?" She asks and looks at me. I nod and head to the kitchen. I pour us both a glass and bring it to the living room. I smile as she pulls out a ton of snacks from her bag. I laugh and hand her a glass. She thanks me and we start the movie.

Midway through, I start to play with her hair. I brain the light brown and faded indigo hair together and smile at my work. It definitely isnt the best braid- actually it's probably the worst brain ever, but oh well. Zoe smiles over at me, humming softly. I almost /almost/ lean in for a kiss, but psyche myself out and look back at the tv.

Once the movie ends, Zoe packs up all the remaining snacks, and I walk her out to the car. She smiles brightly at me "thank you for tonight." She hums.

"It's no problem. I just love hanging out with you" I shrug. We silently stand there, smiling at one another. Before I know it, our lips are touching and my arms are around her waist. It's magical. The two of us holding one another, sharing our first kiss with the pale moon and stars hanging over us. Immediately, I know.

Zoe is the one.

Hello! I'm looking to start a group Dear Evan Hansen roleplay which will be hosted on Discord (so having Discord is required, obviously, lol). Because I consider myself an advanced level roleplayer, and put importance on certain aspects of the roleplay process in order to find it enjoyable (and also, so that I can ensure that people will have good writing chemistry!) I would like to ask anyone who wants to join to fill out a brief questionaire before being accepted. But first things first - 

RULES --

1. No bullying out of character under any circumstances. If you're playing Jared, I'm going to expect some level of in character bullying from you, but keep all of that kind of behavior in character! 2. I can't stop you from writing NSFW topics together if you wind up shipping with another character, but please keep it in PMs. 3. I'll accept WELL THOUGHT OUT oc's, but only once the main roles are filled (with an exception of the parents. I don't really want the parents in rp).4. No Littles. First of all, I find CG/l relationships to be toxic and problematic, but also these characters are still legally children in some cases so.it seems silly for them to regress. Maybe that's just me, but it's one of my triggers. 5. No god-modding - not just in that I don't want you controlling other characters, but also I don't want anyone springing storylines on other members. I think that's a form of god-modding as well. So you can't say, "this character is stalking me," unless that character agreed to that. I shouldn't have to say that but that's happened to me before and it was incredibly uncomfortable SO yeah. Oh yeah and NO, NO, NOOOOO forcing ships!!!!!!!!!!!6. No terminal illness storylines. 7. PLEASE pay attention to proper characterization. I see a lot of people giving Evan a stutter (which, if you've seen the show, you know is not canon) or given him an almost childish personality which they justify based on him having anxiety and as someone who has been diagnosed with anxiety, I can assure you that I'm not a smol, soft uwu baby. :) 8. You can feel free to come to me privately if you're feeling left out, and I'll try to help in any way I can but most often if you're feeling left out in a group RP the best route to take is to include yourself, if you're feeling excluded.

“Are you ready for this?” Jared whispered. Zoe didn’t respond verbally, instead opting to squeeze his hand. There was a knock on the door, and it opened slowly. Zoe and Jared sprang apart, Zoe sliding further back on the bed and Jared jumping off of it entirely. The two let out an internal sigh of relief when they saw that it was Connor, followed closely by Evan.

“Dinner is going to be ready in a few minutes. Everything is good?” Connor asked. Zoe let out a shaky breath.

“We are just going to have a mass ‘we-are-dating’ talk with my parents, I don’t think so.” She said. Jared snorted from the corner of the room.

“When you put it like that, it sounds like we are all dating each other.” He said. Connor laughed.

“That would be a nightmare.”

“I know, we could never be able to coordinate outfits for dates, your style is just too emo for me, Connor,” Jared snickered. When both Zoe and Connor rolled their eyes at the same time, Jared and Evan shared a look.

“Being serious, I am not as scared as you guys probably are,” Zoe commented. “I mean, we are a straight couple. The only scary part about us coming out is how much a dipshit that Jared is,”

Connor broke out from snickers to full out laughter, doubling over. Evan didn’t laugh as loudly, but Zoe could see him hiding a smile behind his hand. Jared made a noise of protest that went unnoticed through Connor’s laughter. Zoe shot him a cheeky grin, and blew him a kiss.

“Don’t mess with me, Better-Murphy,” Jared started threateningly, using his nickname for Zoe. “I am not scared to start another prank war with you.”

Evan groaned. “No more prank wars! I swear I always get wrapped up in them somehow. I hate pranks.”

“Not-better-Murphy,” Jared directed at Connor. “Protect your boyfriend, because this prank war is happening. Prank War,” Jared raised his hands, spreading his fingers. He made his voice lower. “Part Six.”

Zoe jumped up from her spot on the bed.

“Oh, it’s so on.”

“Can we please get back on track please? Cause your parents are about to find out that their son is gay, and that their junior daughter is dating a senior.” Evan said nervously. He had grabbed the bottom of his shirt and was twisting it nervously, a tic that they had all come to recognize. Connor went over to his boyfriend, taking the hand that was messing with his shirt and holding it gently.

“Okay. Yes. Do we want to do it before or after dinner? And who is going to say it first?” Zoe starts. Everyone went silent for a moment, thinking.

“Wait!” Jared yelped, startling everyone out of their thoughts. “I got it!” Jared got back up on the bed, leaning in the corner. He motioned for the others to follow, so after some grumbling and adjustments, the four of them all made it onto the bed. “So, I don’t really know your dad that well, right? So, when we go downstairs, you introduce me to your dad like-” Jared’s voice became higher, imitating Zoe. “‘Dad! This is my boyfriend Jared!’” Jared’s voice went back to normal. “And while your parents are still in shock, not-better-Murphy, you go like ‘and Dad, you know Evan, my boyfriend, right?’ and BAM!” Jared shouted, making Evan flinch. “We all did it.”

“That sounds like a horrible idea.” Connor responded almost instantly.

“Well, do you have a better id-”  

“Dinner!” The muffled yell cut Jared off. The four looked at each other in fear, but then slowly got off the bed.

“The idea is crap, but we have to do it,” Evan spoke. Zoe nodded silently. The four teens stood in the middle of the room. They wouldn’t have much time, only seconds.

Quickly, almost in sync, both Zoe and Evan kissed their partners. Jared was caught off guard, and stumbled back, but Connor was steady, kissing Evan back. Zoe and Jared broke apart first, laughing, but sombering as the tension in the situation came back.

Evan and Connor came apart delicately, just as Mrs. Murphy called again.

“Dinner is ready! Come on!” She shouted.

Evan grabbed his boyfriend’s hand and squeezed. The fear was evident in his eyes, but Connor was there, so he would be okay. Behind them, Jared swayed to the side, purposely bumping into Zoe’s shoulder.

“Let’s go, guys.” Jared said. “We will be okay, no matter what.”
