My small process for drawing Zavaris the Hunter of Fiends.
A gloomstalker Tiefling who hunts fiends, but is also being hunted by a fiend known as The Midnight.
It all started with deal from a demon. A human female wishing for a better lifestyle in return to give up her firstborn.
Her wish was granted by a demon and she was able to live a lavish lifestyle, marrying a wealthy man and got pregnant with two daughters, Zavaris and Sylva.
Zavaris, was a firstborn, and ironically was born as a tiefling. Sylva, her sister, was born normal.
On the 12th day of the 12th month on the 12th hour at age 12 the demon came for his due. The mother and father refused and were slaughtered infront of the sisters. And in fear, the two escape and ran.
Years of hiding they come across an adventuring party, and learn to fight. Zavaris becoming a Ranger and Sylva finding her Clerical powers.
Sadly, the demon came for his due, and left the adventuring party half murdered. Zavaris had enough and left Sylva, only leaving a note saying she’ll come back when the demon's breath has run out.
Zavaris, the Fiendish Huntress, still hunts for devils and demons who dare to taint the light of the material world.
I love this character. Quiet, cynical, but very caring. I wouldnt have made this character if it hadnt been for the new Xanathars 5e D&D book! ❤
