I wanted to put this at the tail end of the last installment, but then I realized that them noting the island's barrier pearls was a better ending, and having this moment between them would've been too jarring.

The sibling-like dynamic between Arkia and Snoob is fun. :)

If you're wondering why I didn't name him 'Gorpo', that's taken by the Unnamed One, who does factor into this tale... indirectly through the Unnamed Order, but still.

Little headcanon that Trollans identify each other through sensing individual magic signatures, and they automatically recognize their parents at birth, thanks to being made by their combined magic. Might as well say that Orko never referred to Montork as "Dad" because of this, he knows that's his uncle, even if he does see him as a father.

Still, can't help but wonder about the man who sired him.

Someday, there will be a verse about you in a children's song. Just be as awesome as the people we just sang about, haha.

On another note, I initially went a direction of Bahru, Squonge, and the kids speculating on what Orko's great deeds would be, but it wasn't really feeling right, and it's best for Orko himself to speculate about it at a later time.

Later that night...

FYI, Squonge is talking about the Flight Academy he goes to. Also, I'm toning that "lying" character trait way down, so he might merely be exaggerating a bit here about an actual event he was involved in.

And here's a look at a very bad string of days that Trolla had back in the day. I call it the Five Days of Wrath here, but I dunno, maybe someone else could come up with a better name.

Basically it's when Trolla was blindsided by the return of the Destroying Angel (after it was believed that Masde had ended that whole deal), and everyone was scrambling to get rid of him. There was a pretty high death toll, to say the least.

Montork's fight with the Destroying Angel is famous around Trolla, considering he's a non-Ringbearer who put up a decent fight, but Montork himself does not like talking about it. Someday I'd like to go deeper into it, but not today.
