Question to cosplayers

I’m gonna be wearing a spandex suit for the first time ever in a few weeks (London comic con anyone?) and I’d love any tips people have? What do I wear under it? Is there anything I have to look out for? Will I get too hot in it?

Eep! I had a blast today at the #cornwallcomiconandgamingfestival , and got second place for performance in the cosplay contest! The suit worked right up until I left the stage, but it was fun to wear and spin my "water"! Zentai suit from #wish no.2! Super fast trying on, so no waist cincher this time, and the zipper isn't totally zipped because I can't grab the pull with weirdly fitting gloves! 😄 There's enough extra length in the arms I might just cut them off and hem up both edges so the gloves are removable, but that zipper might need replacing also. It only goes partway down, so I kinda want to change it out for a longer one.
