1. are you named after anyone? i know my name Hanna and second (which i won’t say but you can probably guess) was inspired by Anna Karenina, my mom just gave it a slightly different spelling... probably so i wouldnt be embarrassed for the rest of my life...

2. when was the last time you cried? a real cry? i cant even remember which is nice, but i teared up reading fanfic just half an hour ago...

3. do you have kids? yessss!!! a yorkie named Maggie Marie!

"Are you still chopping wood? You've been at it since this morning." Ala leaned against the wood shed, his gaze appreciative despite his complaint.

He had been assigned the job of sorting finished logs into cords for storage, a task he had readily abandoned to get into unspecified mischief. As a partner for chores, Ala was terrible.

"You're due a meal, which I was very kind to fetch for you." The summer kitchen had been a bustle, and most asking for a late meal in the midst of that would have be in for an earful. A honeyed tongue, and some harmless flirting with the old matron who oversaw the cooking, though, had long ago earned Ala certain liberties.

"Might have even gotten a bottle of apple cider, but you'll have to come and see- we can go to the river." The youth offered Soudan a beatific smile, holding up his basket full of peace offerings. "Please Soudan? I told the carpenter you were to be helping me with my reading, and he said you could have the afternoon off if you were far enough along..."

Brief post, because I know lots of other people are hurting big time and I’m not yet. My finances have been beyond strapped though -- I’m nearly done filing bankruptcy atm and am living paycheck to paycheck -- but I’ve been managing to eke out a few things that help keep me sane (big two are Spotify and Novlr, a paid web app that motivates writers to write more efficiently). 

With not really knowing whether or not I’ll end up temporarily out of work, I’m tightening the belt on the extras I’d managed to justify for myself (not that there’s many), but I’d really like to keep Novlr at the very least. Novlr has meant the difference between having a mess of word docs in Docs that paralyzes me from actually writing, and knocking out 2k words easily in a few hours.

So, if you’ve enjoyed something that I’ve written (either Rhink or this Orville Peck monstrosity I’m working on over at @queeroftherodeo) and want to maybe toss a coin to your writer, info’s below -- but please only if you’re over 21 and know you’re going to be financially stable through the covid crisis. No pressure, please take care of yourself first -- that’s the number one priority. Push comes to shove, I’ll just cancel things down and cope. <3
