Bravo to @jenniekwondesigns for speaking up beyond our profession and political views but as #human on recent #zerotolerancepolicy on #immigration. As a mother, a human, and an immigrant, this policy simply comes against my humanity. We should ask ourselves, by doing this, does that make America great? Does that make America any safer? And did you ever think why ever these parents risk breaking laws (and those who were seeking asylum) in the first place? This has nothing to do with politics. This comes from hated. Ran across this collage I made of an anonymous troll trying to make me feel bad and it got my dander up again. At the time I didn’t delve into how this is the shit women put up with all the time on the internet. But yeah, this crap happens all the fucking time and it’s not okay. At the time I focused on the fact that my social media is a safe space for people who are being bullied. Thing is, I also don’t think this was actually anonymous. I think I know this person, who lashed out at me, and said person is a misogynistic asshole. At the time they were angry because I blocked them and refused to answer calls and emails even when they started spoofing their number. We need to call this shit out.
