"Good Morning eveybody!" greeted Mai "Before we begin today's Dash I have a special announcement to make! Today's Dash is a special one for I have a deal for all of you!" she turned the camera to where Yugi was, as confused as everyone else "Today's price is my brother! The ruler of the country that wins gets to choose a spouse for him!" "WHAT?" shrieked Yugi, along with more than one person on the field. Mai just laughed, ignoring the distressed surprise of her little brother. "So good luck everyone! And give it your all!" she was smiling when the camera was turned off. Atem was paralized. 'What the fuck had just happened?' He didn't feel like his brain could process the information. Yugi? His precious Yugi married to someone else? 'Oh shit' his mind kept repeating. His heart came to a conlcusion faster than his brain, more than anything else, he had to win. He needed to win, he was sure his sister wouldn't partake in that dumb bet like that. His heart roared and so did he when the game began. True to the name of the game, Atem dashed throught the battlefield, taking out enemies left and right like never before all while pleading to the gods that his habilities wouldn't fail him, not with Yugi on the line. He could barely hear Shizuka energicaly narrating and commenting the game, at least until she shrieked in glee. "I'm not the only one seeing this am I, rigth!?" she laughed "Yugi Eschenbach is out of control! Who knew he had this kind of power hidden!" The cameras focused on Yugi, wielding his Holy Lance Coumars, and Atem would late deny finding the image of a conentrated Yugi obliterating the enemy forces (Atem's soldier being some of them) absolutely breathtaking. And he would later absolutely deny that that was the reason he had been distracted and had given Bakura the oportunity to knock him out of the game. Noone would ever know he cried in his tent out of irritation. But he was truly relieved when it all ended, Yugi gifting his Dukedom the first place for the first time since they joined in the war games. He sighed dreamily at Yugi's happy face on the screen, the Pastilliangs celebrating. "Noe everyone." said Mai taking the microphone "Remember our little deal?" there were some screams as reply, she snorted "Since my dear Dukedom won, I get to choose my brother's date" she winked, Yugi stared at her in disbelief and Atem felt his heart stop "No need to worry" she said to Yugi, but kept the microphone close for them to hear "Is someone you hold very close to your heart" and oh Yugi's blushing face was way too cute, Mai turned back to the camera "And the one I've chosen is..." was there a drum being played of was that Atem's imagination "From Lion Galette: the prince himself! Atem Galette des Rois" she cheered, and so did the crowd. Atem would never acknowledge that he fainted the moment she said his name.
