My babies. 😭 Xu Yuan can only push Zhan Wang away because he can't bear the thought of his rejection. He's also under immense pressure to not be further ostracized by the townspeople, not just for his own sake, but for his family as well. He was so busy protecting himself he didn't even process that Wangwang straight up confessed to him. Or maybe he did and he was still pushing Wangwang away to protect him. Either way poor Wangwang was heartbroken and I felt awful for him. Of course he's too dumb to read between the lines even though Xu Yan had never had a problem with him being gay before and didn't push him away after the underwater kiss. He can blame it on the brain tumor I guess. 😅 Jia Yi and Xiao Tang were so good here. The pain and angst were palpable.

I read a discussion on xhs about why Lost to You isn't trending and not capturing c-netizen's attention. They complained the plot was flat and boring. Nothing exciting was happening.

Excuse me? The plot is nothing new, I'll give them that. Enemies to lovers and gay awakening have been done many times before, but Lost to You is executing so well. The acting is also on point, making the subtle ups and downs of teenage first love so much more interesting and deep than scenes for shock value and crazy dog blood scenarios. I truly feel like Lost to You is an excellent coming of age romance that is not at all boring or flat despite no one getting kidnapped, SAed, blackmailed, manipulated or cheated on.
