Rachel Marie-Crane William’s work takes on subject matter that encompasses sexism, racism and the intersectionality of both. “Her work as a researcher and creative scholar has always been focused on women's issues, community, art, and people who are incarcerated.” She created a zine called “Blue and Black Stories of Policing and Violence”, which is supported by Project NIA. I was intrigued by her loose mark making with inks and how her style fits the unsettling subject matter. This piece is a perfect example of how successful a work can be when the topic and artistic style come together to convey a particular message.

Guys!

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot for you guys lately.

School started about a month ago and I've been having a hard time trying to keep up with everything.

Lol I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not quitting the blog... or dead.

I'm gonna be posting more pictures and gifs and videos and all that cool stuff over the weekend.

I'm gonna try to keep up with maryalltimelow as much as I can, but as much as I hate to say it, school has to come first.

My blog and my followers mean the world to me. I love you guys so much.

I just need you guys to hang in there and bare with me.

-I might be looking for someone to help me keep up the blog. -I want to add them so that everything might run smoother and there will be more content. Let me know what you guys think. I need to know if that's something you guys would like, or if you just like me doing it by myself.

-I get so many messages in my ask box every day. I try to answer them all, I really do, but I just get so many that it becomes overwhelming and I can't answer them all. Again, I'll try my best to keep on top of that.
