I just finished rewatching Rim of The World after three years and I love it so crazy much.

Gabriel went towards a different room to get some air. “Getting some air” meaning blowing off some steam from the stressful moment. You followed him into the kitchen of his old home. “Gabriel?” you started. He turned swiftly at your words. He knew it would be you to check on him. “Oh, Y/N, sorry I was just-” “It’s fine. You don’t need to ask permission to wander. As long as you stay close, you’re safe from the demon-shits.”

“Can I be honest with you?” he asked. 

“Of course,” you assured. He rubbed his forehead before speaking up again. “I know how people have feelings and they feel as if they can’t act on them, but I have those feelings and I want to act out on them, but if I don’t I’ll never tell her how I-” “Gabriel?” you interrupted. “Do you like ZhenZhen?”

“NO! No, I don’t, I mean I do, but not in that way. Like as a friend, she’s very nice sometimes...I mean you, Y/N,” he confessed. Your mouth was left agape, but spoke no words. Not a peep.  “Y/N? Earth to Y/N? Did I scare you? I’m sorry if I-” You rested your hands on his face and pressed your lips together. 

He put his hands on your shoulders, then slid them towards your back, then on your ass. He rubbed it as he slipped his tongue in your mouth.

“SO GABRIEL GETTIN’ ASS TONIGHT?!” you both heard Dariush at the kitchen doorway. “Dariush!” Gabriel whisper-shouted angrily. “I’m just saying, if my boy wants to get some of that good-good, I suggest it’s a two man job,” Dariush chuckled, winking at you. “Get out, Dariush,” you warned. He left you and Gabriel together and you both stared at each other. Awkwardly. You broke the silence with, “If my boy wants to get some of that good-good, I suggest it’s a two man job,” in a Dariush-mocking voice.

Rim of the World (2019):

Guys please watch this movie on Netflix!

-Yes, it is a pretty basic alien invasion plot with a familiar premise- but that’s okay. The four kids are really the heart of the movie and their personal journeys are what make the movie great

-Alex is a sweet kid who is obssessed with space and facts and hides in his bedroom all of the time because of a trauma he suffered when he was younger

-ZhenZhen is a total badass adorable Chinese immigrant who was rejected by her family and abandoned because she wasn’t born a boy and has had to learn how to take care of herself and quotes movies like Gladiator to inspire the others to get to work

-Darius is an African American kid who was born into an extremely wealthy family and puts on fronts and airs like he is cool, but he is actually really insecure and his father is about to go to prison for embezzling money from his businesses. 

-Gabriel is a Hispanic American kid who suffers from  dyscalculia- basically dyslexia for numbers- and doesn’t think that his mother loves him anymore because she refused to visit him in juvie after he got her fired from her job over a misunderstanding.

-This movie makes fun of itself all of the way through and is really an affectionate parody of alien invasion movies- “Oh my god! It’s Independence Day!” “It’s June you dumbass!”

-”They probably want our resources” “How do you know that?” “That’s the basic plot for every alien invasion movie, keep up!”

-The movie is more about found family and fire forged friendship- each kid brings something to table to help the others out- Alex is extremely smart and knowledgeable, Gabriel is tall and good at fighting and hiding, ZhenZhen is resourceful and carries their supplies, and Darius is the comic relief but also really good at avoiding danger

-The movie isn’t ground breaking in any way, but these kids are amazing and their story is actually really good. Watch it- it’s really dope. And funny as hell.

I just wastched it, and let me just say. Gabriel and Alex, I love those two so much. Daruish, I liked his character development. Zhenzhen, is badass as hell.

Tbh, I kinda shipped Alex and Gabriel from the beginning. Since Gabriel was really protective of Alex. But like, Zhenzhen and Alex works really well too. I love Alex, he is such a nerd and a sweetheart. Honestly, I know the plot is kinda cliché, but I just love the characters.
