ZhongChiLuc modern au. Where both Zhongli and Childe is Diluc's exes(that hasn't move on) that is currently dating each other only to know it's a contract between them just to win Diluc's affection again so that both can have him. Diluc being dense about their little deal and living a peaceful life being single.

Kaeya:You know your former high school sweetheart(Childe) and uni ex boyfriend(Zhongli) are dating right?

Diluc look up to him with a deadpan look:I am, and?

Kaeya: Aren't you bothered?

Diluc:Why would I be?

Kaeya:It's just odd you know, their personality don't*makes a weird hands movements*you know. And it's suspicious.

Diluc just scoff:it's their life and I don't mind, they seemed happy and they do GET ALONG mind you,.besides we got our closure . Life's been peaceful I like it that way. Two heartbreaks are already enough.

URg I love it so much.

Cause I've said before, the only way, I see Childe and Zhongli work is through the glue of Diluc. So the idea of them getting together to try and win Diluc over is perfect.

And especially especially if Diluc broke up with them. As I can see, Both Childe and Zhongli are heavily affectionate toward Diluc, and Diluc does not feel like he can return it in the same way. (Both Childe and Zhongli know Diluc shows affection in a different way.)

And so they team up to make prove to Diluc that he's worth both their love. They just start showing up at Diluc's favorite places.

Childe: Is he here yet?

Zhongli: Yes I can see him by himself. He's got his regular.

Childe: Black coffee with 3 sugars. How he is looking?

Zhongli: Perfect as always. That bastard.

And well, they are both steaming about how cute Diluc notices them and is just really happy for both of them.

And then they do eventually approach him and try to sandwich him, but Diluc is just totally clueless cause to him, they look so happy together.
