shl au: modern day ex-government hitman zhou zishu diagnosed with gliobastoma just wants to experience a normal life before his inevitable death. Things were going quite fine until a large fluffy white cat starts following him around and chilling in his backyard. Cue wacky shenanigans which somehow led to him becoming part-time dad to his absent neighbour’s kid Chengling, accidental cat owner to the world’s prettiest but also pettiest white ball of fluff, and occasional sitter of an old loud cranky parrot who's too smart for its own good. 

And then one day White Fluff brought home a feral Bengal kitten, which was in no way his and therefore definitely stolen. 

Wen Kexing broke one tiny little rule, a stupid rule really, and the celestial court just had to demote him from God to Cat as punishment. That stupid Ye Baiyi - the bane of his immortal existence - volunteered to be his “parole officer” in the form of an obnoxious white parrot. Too bad A-Xiang, his staunch loyal supporter, was implicated as well...but she was rather adorable as a baby feline. 

It helped that his human was so handsome, beautiful, perfect. It didn’t help that he was dying from cancer. 

Really, A-Xu, I just got here and you’re gonna die? Unacceptable.

Basically how DID they manage to change into entirely new outfits while sleeping on a dirt bank? This is mostly character study/missing scene for Episode 6.

So it appears that as of right now, I’ve written the Very First English language Word of Honor fic on AO3...that’s a thing.  I honestly meant for it to be smut?  But these boys love angst and pining too much.  So whatever.  Please read it if you’ve fallen into this hole along with me.
