Orphaned at a young age. Captured by GFG operatives, taken to the Chimera lab. There, Kanou, Chigyou, and other GFG scientists used him as one of their subjects for experimental grafting in the hopes of making a stable, tailor-made chimera Quinque. In his mid teens, he broke out of the GFG labs fled to [German shipping port], and stowed away in the cargo hold of a freighter bound for America. Pure luck kept him from being discovered; a worker's accidental amputation gave him enough meat to last the voyage without going berserk.
Upon landing, he wandered, hitchhiked, and by other various means made his way from the Gulf Coast to New Mexico, picking up bits of English along the way. In Albuquerque, he was found by Alek Jens, a fellow ghoul interning at a local coroner's office. Jens took him in, taught him more English, provided access to HRT and other gender care, and eventually inducted him into the CIG in order to monitor the state of his grafts.
The CIG: The "Coalizione Internazionale per il miglioramento della razza dei Ghoul", is an international organization consisting primarily of ghouls and ghoul sympathizers, headquartered in Agrigento, Sicily. Their primary goals are research on ghouls, alternate food sources, health & evolution of ghouls, and the longterm effects of ghoul/human hybridity. The longterm goal of the CIG is to enable peaceful coexistence between ghouls & humans. When Zicke was inducted, he was given a job: to travel and recruit vulnerable or likeminded ghouls into the CIG. He does this with only minor complaining.

Elder of two siblings; younger sister Emmaline works part-time as a driver for the local medical examiner's office. Born & raised in Albuquerque, NM. Met Zicke while working on his doctorate with the UNM School of Medicine.
Works as a forensic pathologist with the UNM-SM, as well as ghoul pathologist & Head of Pathological Research for the CIG. Spends half of his time in New Mexico, the rest traveling between Sicily, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. Thus, he is never in Japan long enough for the CCG to make any headway on the "SHINKU ISHI" case.
Since he works as coroner and forensic pathologist, he has ample access to meat and organs from unclaimed cadavers. He uses this to support himself, his family, Zicke, and any ghouls in the area with dire enough need. He's meticulous and careful, always keeping at least 3 degrees of plausible deniability on hand for any predation, 'peaceful' (ie. from cadavers) or otherwise. He dislikes actively hunting; he prefers to people watch. He greatly enjoys humanity; he's enchanted by the lengths they will go to in pursuit of fun. One of his wildest and least likely dreams is to help engineer a ghoul-centric amusement park, with safety standards calibrated to ghouls' natural durability.
His 'human' eyes are a steely gray. He favors greens and straight-line silhouettes. His bikaku is thin and fragile but extremely dextrous; he uses it to aid in his work. He smokes menthol cigarettes.
