When I think of the moments, people, memories, and magic that caused me to truly fall in love with the Emerald City, so many of them can be credited to this man, Murray Stenson, and the gem of Zig Zag Cafe that he made sparkle for so many years. I will always and forever associate being young and carefree with the nights I will never forget, with people I will carry in my heart forever, so much of that occurring amidst his welcoming smile, artistry, and the kind of ease of conversation you can only truly have with your favorite bartender. Consider donating or attending one of these upcoming events, to help support a fund set aside for Murray and ongoing treatment for his heart condition. Join me in returning a toast to the man who sat across the bar for my first martini, celebrations of all my "real adult" accomplishments from graduating college to starting my career, and whose cafe will always be a part of the Seattle I know as my very own own. We may be raised in our home towns, but we grow up where we discover who we desire to be, and with whom we want to share that journey. Seattle, and America's Best Bartender, will always be a little piece of that for me. Thank you - and cheers!

OMG! They don't have beer on tap?

Because everyone, you see, is exactly like Jen B, and we just cannot understand how ANYone can like ANYthing that Jen B and her "normal friends" don't like.

It's amazing how things are easier to find once you've been there before.

And it's amazing that you think we care about your opinion when you didn't eat or drink anything. Instead of sitting down at a table or finding an open seat, you tried to reach over others, because we all know you're the center of the world.

Finally, it's amazing that you think we want to read your opinion on a different restaurant in your review of this place.

You went to one of the shrines of cocktails, home of one of the men responsible for reviving alcohol from the sickly, sweet garbage in the 80s, and you ordered... a lemon drop and a Long Island Iced Tea.

And then you thought it acceptable to "review" their Long Island as "nothing to shout about." You do know that's a bunch of crummy liquor poured into a glass and topped with Coke, right?
