I think I chose right going for the surgery game, even if other people think I'm insane for diving right in with one of the more stressful positions for my first summit. I had 2 breakdowns, but considering how heavy this one was and the aforementioned inadvisability of going surgeon first time, apparently that was the minimum expected of me. camping was hard and I got dehydrated, which directly caused 1 or maybe both of the breakdowns.
feyruz was really fun to play, very different from thorn (my vtm larp character). feyruz feels a wider range of emotions, and more intensely, and their compassion is more genuine. I usually don't play religious characters, but considering the spheres are directly observable and provable, feyruz follows them quite naturally, so I gave feyruz a minor crisis of faith. it was interesting. didn't get resolved, but I might look into making them a priest as well, to heal the spiritual wounds of others as well as the physical.
we cried twice for teapot, once when feyruz was told she was terminal/when we came in to see her, and once when she finally let go. despite only meeting her at the medical summit and being with her for 2 and a bit days at summit, as an andashi sister; fellow surgeon; and all-around vibrant and kind person, she meant a lot very quickly. feyruz got a tattoo from our priest of the needle friend to remember her by. she filled all our cups.
the hospital team was really welcoming and kind, they felt like home. we spent a lot of time at the hospital tent because of this, even when we were not facing an influx of injuries from a conflux. when I had my breakdowns, I had to repeatedly find friends to tell me to rest before going back, I wanted to help so badly. in the end, feyruz participated in 5 surgeries (4 of which it led, and all of which were successful), and was put in charge of organising a portion of the triage team for one conflux as well. I'm really proud of making it to the end, and of getting so much done, and the hospital team was proud of me too.
overall, even with the various difficulties and hard lessons learnt, I'm glad I went to concord. and I hope to go back next summit.
personally I love those moments where one of your players' characters suffers a compulsion and you get to be all demon on their shoulder when things don't go their way, insisting as the Beast that they do as they're compelled
the more I think about making a toreador the funnier it gets. I had a tzimisce who loved how its sire looked, been there, done that, time to make a toreador who throws up in their mouth a little every time they have to see the prince

so. thorn harrassed a thinblood tonight. it:
pointed out the brand on her arm
called her an abomination, an insult to the blood, and asked her why she thought she should exist
followed her as she was trying to walk away to tell her all of this
only stopped following her when someone else took her away to speak
found her AGAIN later, asked if she was to be sold, and told her she should beg for death
gave her mean looks all evening
very obviously wanted to eat her
asked everyone else what they thought about thinbloods, leaning the conversation towards "thinbloods are awful and should be put out of their misery before they cause problems" each time
very pointedly refused all evening to accept anyone calling thinbloods "kindred" or "vampires" and refused to refer to eating them as "diablerie"
petitioned its sire the prince to have the thinblood/s be eaten immediately, even arguing with them about how they're an insult to the blood and too dangerous to let live (rejected)
would have eaten at least one on the spot had the prince not rejected that plan
when theophany, a toreador, said she wanted to purchase a thinblood at the auction, thorn asked her what she'd do with it. she said she would "liberate them!" (glare) "to her room! where she would hang out with them" (further glares)
when theophany in return asked what thorn would do if it won a thinblood, thorn said very simply and seriously "eat it." and made intense eye contact for several seconds before their attention was called away
