‘Tiana’ Disney+ Series Shelved as Walt Disney Animation Abandons Longform Streaming Content (Exclusive)

First announced in 2020, the Disney+ show was envisioned as a musical featuring Anika Noni Rose reprising her role as Tiana, Disney's first

This decision (especially coming out now) is sinister for several reasons. I was looking forward to the show and I had hope that Disney would finally treat Princess Tiana with the attention and adoration her story deserves. I’m sorry to team that worked on this show, Anika Noni Rose, and all the Black girls like me that desire media that is catered to us.

I don’t think we give enough (deserved) heat to liberal/leftist men. They take buzzwords and conversations that started with women (kink, sex positivity, etc) and rework them in a way that attempts to disguise their misogyny. It’s very sinister and twisted.

I want the next project that Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre do together to be a love triangle romance drama where they are fighting over a girl who is played by me.

I’m begging Black Texans to visit your local library or bookmobile. Check out (Black) books, use Libby/Hoopla, participate in programs, and/or join friends of the library!! Libraries are for us too and we have to make that known. When books are not checked out they get “weeded out” aka thrown away which will reduce the overall collection and it leads to librarians not investing in adding to specific collections in the future. They stop buying Black books when folks don’t check them out!!

I want a “coffee table” book that serves as an archive of the Black sex symbols, Black video vixens, and Black bombshells through history.
