Your morals, activism, and political beliefs don't hold any merit if you aren't able to first see others as people, worthy of respect, honesty, and effort. This is the thing with the patriarchy, many men think they're activists and good people for speaking out against injustice and oppression. But then they go home and repeat the oppression all over again. They objectify, chase dopamine, and let their selfishness, ego, and lack of emotional intelligence repeat the cycle of oppression within their relationships.

As I try to engage with other men about media analysis, I’m learning a stunning amount of dudes have never really consumed anything ‘for women.’ It’s sort of difficult to engage with someone’s opinions “deep Disco Elysium thoughts” when their taste is overall… cooties based.

I don’t think we give enough (deserved) heat to liberal/leftist men. They take buzzwords and conversations that started with women (kink, sex positivity, etc) and rework them in a way that attempts to disguise their misogyny. It’s very sinister and twisted.
