if you don't know much about CN zombie apocalypse novels... (this is all based on what i've read)
zombies usually can become more powerful and 'level up', which can either enhance all of their physical aspects OR awaken a power. these powers are typically elemental (fire, water, wind, earth, thunder, metal, and nature are the most common). when they level up, a stone called 'nuclei' is formed in their brains. it's pretty much a crystal with spiritual force. the higher the level of a zombie, the clearer and stronger the spiritual force is. animals and plants can also mutate to be more deadly and have these powers as well.
people with abilities can also level up by either using up all their powers and meditating and/or absorbing the nuclei by just holding it in your palm, meditating as you kinda guide the spiritual force into your body? idk man. n e ways the abilities people usually have are the same as the zombies, except for those with the 'space' ability. the space ability is where you have a hidden dimension that can be used as storage or even like a hidden paradise/home that you can enter and exit.
