What even is, cops?

So after a Mario kart tournament with our school's anime club, a couple friends and I went to Culver's (best thing ever). As we were driving back from Culver's to take someone home, a cop starts speeding, but no lights. Not soon thereafter, here comes another one, again no lights. Not cool. You can't break traffic laws no matter what. Alert people, please. Then we hit a light, another cop stopped at the light, the turns his lights on just to go through the red. We see where they end up, and start thinking "well, how about we avoid that route". Because we don't know what it is, we think "zombie apocalypse!". No other options. Just zombies. One of my friends was like "we're thinking like tumblr, now". No, we were thinking realistically. This was some sketchy ass pickup truck. That pulled into the parking lot of an animal hospital. Sketchy. As. Fuck. Now we wait.

I just woke up from the weirdest dream... All I can remember is that it involved dealing with zombie kittens coming out of my abnormally large garden and it mustn't have been very pleasant because I feel like crap now

Loki staggers into his twin's place holding his head and looking a bit bedraggled. "Ugh, what happened last light? I feel quite horrid..." He places a hand across his eyes trying to block out the light to his sensitive eyes. "The last thing I remember was the wine and... a zombie kitten?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, dearest. In fact, yours is probably more accurate than mine... I was intoxicated far longer than you are," Loki replied, rubbing his temples. His head ached. His lower back ached as well, although he still was not sure why. "Something about cats... Yes, cats and the undead...? And flirting. I seem to remember a lot of flirtatious behavior..." He felt the phantom twitch of his once cat ears. "We should never be allowed around alcohol."

Zombie #7 - Man bites kitten's lips off. (What if zombies ate animals too?)

Angel Roman, a 28-year-old Florida man was arrested after he bit the lips off a kitten and strangled another cat.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was launched after Roman told an acquaintance that he ‘accidentally’ strangled his roommate’s kitten a few weeks prior, and bit the lips off a black and white kitten named Oreo.

Roman also reportedly admitted to burning Oreo’s ear and whiskers with a lighter.

Roman told detectives that he has been depressed because “his girlfriend is gone.”

A veterinarian examined Oreo and told investigators that the kitten’s injuries were consistent with Roman’s explanation.

Why am I posting this when he didn't attack a human?

I just thought it was interesting to think about what if the zombies were interested in living things other than just humans. Would it buy the humans more time to defend themselves or would it simply give them more strength and energy to go after the faster, bigger humans who can defend themselves? (compared to cats and dogs that is.) Or perhaps when a person first feels these cravings, could they try to fool their bodies by eating animals instead?

Are humans just tastier than animals? If that is the reason then what would stop them from trying pigs since they are genetically similar to us and according to interviewed cannibals taste the same as humans? Would this mean that animals could turn as well? I don't know about you guys, but an army of blood thirsty kittens could be hard to take down unless you had a flamethrower or something that could take down more than one at once. Cats are nature's ninjas.
