Halloween (most likely human) wof scenario. Possible trigger warning: dark humor.
There's a Halloween party going on at Jade Mountain Academy, so everyone's coming up with costumes. The Jade Winglet has a bit of an advantage of their own since Kinkajou and Turtle are surprisingly very good with makeup, Winter can draw up the ideas, Moon can sew, Qibli knows where they can get supplies, and Peril's dark humor makes for good ideas of how to scare the crap out of people.
Probably from a sarcastic remark by Qibli, Winter get the idea to use his first words to Moon as his Halloween promt. They set up this bit for the party, since a lot of people's family members are also invited and they wouldn't know about what happened that day.
So the bit is that Winter walks up to Moon, says something seemingly mushy for the people who weren't there and is slightly confusing for the people who were, like "Moon... I've been wanting to tell you something from the day I first met you", then he aggressively rips off half of his face (which was actually well done makeup and plaster). The original idea was that the face would be the"punch line" but Moon couldn't stop laughing the entire time since she knew what was going to happen, so he improvised a bit and snarled "Stop laughing before I rip your face off too!"... which just made it worse (you know those silent, hysterical laughs where you can barely breathe?).
And that's how Winter single handely terrified most of the school at once, including his own relatives Hailstorm and Snowfall (whom he didn't have a clue that they would be there) plus Lynx. Moon was still in hysterics, Peril was slightly dumbfounded (she wasn't in on this particular prank since they knew she might've let it slip), Kinkajou was surprised by the reaction (but also delighted that her makeup job was so good), Turtle knew something was coming so he had distanced himself from the whole thing, and Qibli was doubled over laughing. It took a little while for everyone to calm down, but eventually the party recovered.
This also let to the entire Winglet cracked up by the "face" flopping on the floor (kind of like the scene in Ms Doubtfire where the face falls out the window and gets run over).
