The Shadow At My Window by Zombiecat

Summary: As a fledgling angel, Castiel is not allowed to interact with humanity. He should be strictly observing and concentrating on learning to be a warrior of Heaven. Even so, he cannot seem to stop himself from visiting the human boy that leaves his window open at night. At first, it's only to get a glimpse of their world.. but all that changes the night he saves the boy's life.

Comments: 10/10. This is amazing. It starts out as an AU where normal child Dean is visited by curious angel Cas. But then all hell breaks loose, literally. There’s demons and prophecies and life and death situations. Dean becomes a hunter and tries to kill the two demons. The smut is amazingly hot, especially the wing kink. I love Gabriel and Balthazar in this, supportive brothers who are also jerks in the best way. There are quite a lot of homophobia though, seeing as there’s John. A really fluffy ending, also very smutty. There’s so many sharp turns in the plot, it’s amazing. The last one will take your breath away, seriously. This is an amazing fic, and I can’t believe I haven’t read it before.
