, TAKING IN COUNT HER CONSERVATIVE FAMILY AND STUFF IT WOULD BE INTERESTING KNOWING HOW SHE DISCOVER HERSELF

Oh Hiyoko. And I say this with all the love for her in my heart. Hiyoko is ABSOLUTELY a homophobic teenager. Of course she LIKES girls, attaches to them and calls them Big Sis and desperately wants them to find her cute. But there's no conscious level where that's attraction. Hiyoko isn't like Those People. (And that's part of why she doesn't like Mikan, too - because Mikan starts to be genuinely happy when she realizes and openly accepts she likes girls. And that's not fair. HIYOKO doesn't get to be happy liking girls. Why should this bitch be??)

I think there's three things that contribute to Hiyoko unlearning her upbringing and accepting herself. Firstly, and maybe most importantly: Twilight Syndrome queer friend group. Hiyoko's closest friends are Mahiru & Sato, lovingly looking into each other's eyes at this very moment; Ibuki, talks about how she thinks women are on the daily; and Mikan, who has such an obvious crush on that model underclassman that it's embarrassing to be in the same building with them at a given time. Through her desire to be close to Mahiru and Ibuki, her Actual Friends TM, she just starts picking up the concepts. Stops being quite so aggressive about all that gay shit, because Mahiru WILL call her out on that.

Second is the time at Hope's Peak away from her grandmother's clutches. While under her grandmother, Hiyoko's only coping mechanism is, ultimately, obedience punctuated by violently lashing out. Hiyoko has no control over her own life and knows it. Being in a place where she can explore without being so confined both markedly calms her down (which you can see in DR3, where she's still a little shit but not Nearly so aggressive about it), and gives her room to explore other ways to rebel, like challenging her family's ideals themselves instead of just their actions.

And thirdly, obviously, Post Remnant Recovery. Once you have to go "maybe it was kind of fucked up that time we made a mix I danced to composed entirely of the sound of body parts being ripped off. " It is significantly easier to go "and also I probably called my classmates slurs because I was repressed." That's like easy mode in therapy, comparatively

like i said in your dm, As an Hiyoko Saionji fan, I want to apologize for the Hiyoko stand anon behaviour, sadly in all kind of characters fanbases, sometimes the worst ones are the loudest and consequently, the rest pay the price.

I know this person block your blog, but i want to say some things to them

Anon, i understand that you dont like how people write your fav character, i get it!, sometimes i can be like "This person dont know what they are doing lol" but it stay there, throwing your hate is only doing damage to the fanbase and how others see us, and i`m not only talking about Hiyoko, this applies in EVERY character!

One example is the Mikan fan who threats someone to DOX THEM for not LIKE MIKAN!!, My GOD, If you dont like that someone hate or criticize your character, BLOCK THEM, thats it!, Sadly twitter creates the culture of "If you block someone you`re weak", but the button is there for something.

I just wanted to say, where you see a bad fan, there`s a good one too,

Hi Fala! I hope You have a wonderful day!! i just wanted to infodump about Mikan and Hiyoko relationship post-tragedy in my point of view

Hiyoko when she see Mikan get out of the machine, her chest was getting tight, a panic attack started, Mahiru and Ibuki hug her and tried to calm her down while others of the group go to help Mikan

The tension was real when these two are in the same room, EVEN WORSE when they commit the mistake of left them alone....

Mikan trying to talk with Hiyoko and apologize but the blonde is terrified of her, i not doubt Hiyoko going physical to the Nurse if she gets too close....

Until the group gets tired and worried about this situation, then therapy sessions started with Hajime

in short words, These two are not friends, but they tried to not fight anymore

(In my headcanons, Hiyoko mental health is hyperfucked, panic attacks, anxiety when she is alone, Only Ibuki, Mahiru and Hajime can calm her down during these attacks) and obviosly Mikan's mental health is fucked too

Honestly it's nice seeing post-game takes that actually take into account the trauma that class 77 would have not just from their Remnant time but also from their in-game time too because yeah I'm not sure how comfortable you'd be around the person who straight up murdered you what felt like just a few days ago or the mixed feelings Mikan most likely feels towards Hiyoko. She'd probably have intense guilt/remorse but I also think a part of her can't help but resent and maybe be afraid of Hiyoko given how much Hiyoko bullied her. Especially if Mikan sees how much consideration people are giving Hiyoko with her trauma even when she gets physical with Mikan and can't help comparing it to how little was done on her behalf whenever Hiyoko would actively torment her in front of others. I think Mikan would understand that Hiyoko's trauma is to be taken seriously but would also be upset that her own long standing trauma from Hiyoko might be overlooked again. These two would def need quite a while to work things out.

HiyoBuki headcanons! (Because these two are canon in my head ok)

Sleeping ones (Most of them are Post-Tragedy)

Hiyoko suffers from panic attacks and nightmares in the night, Ibuki just hug her from behind, kiss her cheek and rest her head in Hiyoko's shoulder "You're safe now my Orange mochi" and then they try to sleep again (Usually Hiyoko is the Big spoon but in these cases, Ibuki is it)

Ibuki loves naps, so after lunch, she drags Hiyoko to their bedroom and well, there's not escape for the blonde (but even if she don't want to sleep, she enjoy watching Ibuki sleep because sometimes,she let a calm smile)

Hiyoko can't sleep without her pijama, or a least, a shirt and a pants,and Ibuki..topless, sometimes even nude (Hiyoko being a red mess when this happens) even sometimes Ibuki do the joke of "Oh, i drop this shirt to the floor, i'm so silly~" (Bad things happen when she tease Hiyoko too much 😉)

lolol these are so cuuuute~ Ibuki channeling big cat vibes with the way Hiyoko doesn't want to ruin her gf's nap time who is most certainly napping on top of her so Hiyoko just lies there getting an arm cramp but willing to suffer if it makes Ibuki's nap a pleasant one ahaha.
