Hot take but i dont think Damian (or any animal loving character) would love zoos because wild animals should never be kept in captivity and the living conditions of animals in zoos are never as good as they need to be to keep the animals happy

"cute" video of jailed baby gorilla pisses me off

So there's this viral video of a little girl at a zoo, playing with a baby gorilla who is on the other side of the glass wall. They are copying each other's movements as they run back and forth and swing their arms and such.  They even 'kiss' through the glass.  Adorable right?  Ugh, yeah except that one of those children will get to walk away and live her life free, however she desires, and the other is imprisoned in that crappy zoo or one like it for its whole life, forced to eat, sleep, mate, and live its life on display, whereever and with whomever the humans decide.

Those videos and pictures from zoos bother me no end, because here you have a perfect side by side comparison of how similar humans are to gorillas, and yet people are still okay with capturing them and displaying them for our entertainment.

I also hate zoo pictures because usually they are usually taken and shared by people who 'love' animals, yet don't see the problem with eating them or using them in any way they see fit.  I think zoos are a disgrace and videos like this one make me sick, and I'm not posting a link to it because I don't want it to get anymore publicity than it already has.  I just had to rant about it a bit because it's been bothering me for days, since I regretably clicked on a headline on CNN.com and watched it a few days ago.
