I don't know what's the truth any more than anyone else does but I don't think it's any kind of gotcha that Louis and family didn't unfollow Zayn before; the family especially, who would have waited on Louis' lead to do anything that would draw attention. To me Louis doing it now felt like his way of saying yeah, the articles aren't entirely made up, he totally uses follows and unfollows strategically like this to communicate things, but again I don't think it's strange that he didn't do it before being ready to start so much discourse or to share what was going on with the world (including the docu being off which was clearly officially not being mentioned previously as we can see by the director now being like oh I can talk about this now? cool)

Y cant anything b straight(pun intended) n to the point in this effing band.. everything is so conspiracy coded & controversial, even after a decade.. like a DECADE!! On the serious note, I am very disheartened to see that things fell out like this(if it did) the way it's reported. I honestly thought it was very healing and needed for them to come together especially after Liam. But fans must not be burdened with it,they r both adults responsible for their lives! 4 me, it is less joyous each day

was gonna post this yesterday to be like haha yes cute ask yr so right (and I'm sorry it's getting to you :( ), but then I waited and now unfortunately it turns out I have something humorless and spoilsport-y to add sorry :/ the thing is that as my dash and inbox increasingly fill up with unhinged takes about what is Really going on I need to say: Not everything is a conspiracy. This probably isn't that fucking deep nor planned out to do this or that, people make up and break up and plans don't always go the way they hope they will. There is literally no question that Louis and Zayn have had very real conflict and personal strife over the years and more of that is not unrealistic nor does it require complicated analysis to figure out. Zayn being volatile and short tempered is something we know is real. The press, and especially the sun, doesn't do their bidding. Not immediately telling the public every detail of their private lives and business plans isn't a conspiracy and it doesn't indicate something shady going on it's literally just normal behavior for a million reasons.

I have a few thoughts about this

1. Louis most likely didn’t tell many people about it, including his family, because he didn’t want the to worry about him but now that it’s public his sisters probably asked him if it really happened and he finally told them so they unfollowed him (I’m thinking he hasn’t told the because Daisy relatively recently posted this and she followed Zayn but today she unfollowed him cuz I think Louis told her everything - https://x.com/bus1forlifez/status/2044955608764285118?s=46)

2. As a man Louis probably felt weird about the fact that HE was the one who got punched yk? Men are sometimes weird like that lol so he didn’t want it to get out

3. Louis in the DOAC podcast told several times how he’s a kind of person to play a “happy family” for the sake of peace so he probably didn’t really want to bring this up because he didn’t want to deal with the aftermath of this

solid point about Daisy's post and makes sense honestly. As for the rest, maybe! It's as possible as anything. Or maybe he just didn't want to deal with it, or maybe there were business/ industry reasons not to simply immediately share everything including not being allowed to talk about it publicly- he DID say many times that in fact there was a gag on him with regard to talking about the series, or maybe it was just painful and upsetting and he didn't actually feel like having 5 million of his most insane parasocial besties and the entire global entertainment media all up in it Having Opinions
