Just finished Alien: Prototype

Though I wasn't that convinced when I started listening to the first few chapters, this turned out to be a solid story. I didn't care much for most Characters, but later on really came to like our Protagonist Zula Hendricks - she's badass. I also love love love the Androids Davis One and Brigette - both of them, together with Zula and the Necromorph - made this story shine.

And yes you heard right, Necromorph! A very cool and interesting Xenomorph variant.

fandom ask - I don't know many fandoms but I wonder what's your favourite fandom and what are your top 3 characters in it? 👀

Hmmm, picking a favorite fandom is hard lol

I think if I had to pick one that I'm the most obsessed with (that isn’t star wars) it would be the Alien and Predator franchise (before disney bought them).

First two big favorites are Amanda Ripley and Zula Hendricks. They were such a badass pair of survivors that teamed up to fight against Weyland-Yutani and the company’s desire to weaponize the xenomorphs. Also there were hints at a potential for their relationship to become more... intimate. They were already very close due to both surviving various xenomorph encounters and I desperately wanted more of their story (and then the mouse bought the rights to alien and predator and ended their story 😠)

Third favorite is Machiko Noguchi. She is a former corporate climber turned honorary Predator/Yautja. She is an incredibly capable hunter and can stand toe to toe with Yautja even though they are naturally much stronger than humans. She is awesome and her character helped to make the first ever Aliens vs Predator crossover comic work.

So During the pandemic I co-wrote a story with Pip Ballantine, she wrote the book. It's a story close to my heart about survival.

It's surreal starting out as an alien blogger on tumblr, turn podcaster, turn producer, turn consultant and now turn author. In the span of just 3 years I have been so very honoured to write something that ties so strongly to different parts of Alien, through our eyes. This is a dream come true!
