WHEE watch me get ahead while I am still bright and excited about this dang activity! @zyoko made an awesome fanart of Aditeya for me, so I retaliated with a bust of Nayu, her awesome padawan. ALSO attacked two other ppl cuz it’s all about gifting random ppl atwork and can’t let my bestie have all the art =D

This has been fun so far, I hope I can last long enough to get through the month XD; My username is Mystarseed and I will be trying to keep up with all attacks thrown my way!

I’ve been wanting to draw this character since I first saw her, so I drew for the first time in like IDK SIX MONTHS today. 

A sorta early birthday present for @zyoko of her Inuzen, Luna! (I needta draw her with my Inuzen Luna at some point...)

1. Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?

Digital, all the way. I haven’t done traditional art in so long it’s odd now. I’m too used to stabilizers and ctrl+z.

5. What’s your favorite thing to draw?

Red pandas? Cute, fluffy things in general.

10. Are you confident about your art?

Relatively, yes. I am always proud of my finished products, and I think that is confidence.

18. What are you currently trying to improve on?

Making bigger art. If I’m gonna make prints and merch of my art, I need to improve working big, and ‘cleaner’ for good products! Also making things LOOK cute? I mean, I know my art has charm, but… idk how to explain, I want to develop a style that will be emblematic and make for good merch =P

24. Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!)

Both? I think the first is awe, to be fair. But then I just spend hours looking at details and figuring out how I can learn from it, so inspired!

June: Favourite book

Hm, let’s see…well, in the case of novels, I’d have to go for Warriors, Guardians of Ga’Hoole and (more recently) Mouseheart. But definitely Warriors, especially since Erin Hunter is and has always been my main inspiration. Heck, some of my own stories actually do, in fact, share similar elements with Warriors, but takes those elements to a different level!

For graphic novels and comics, I’d have to settle with the Mega Man Archie Comics, with Amulet being close behind. Honestly, regardless of what anyone says, the Archie comics (especially the graphic novels) hold a special place in my heart. It’s really interesting to see all sorts of different penciling works by other artists bringing the Blue Bomber to life (my favourite in particular is Ben Bates’ work, which is evidently the closest to the original concept, and it’s pretty easy to tell in Volume 3). In a sense, I have been studying the first three volumes of the graphic novel series (yes, I own Volumes 1-3) to help with my own comic-making skills as well as some robot practice (especially since drawing robots is still a weakpoint I’m trying to conquer, slowly but inexorably).

TL;DR, the Mega Man Archie Comics is amazing and if you haven’t done so, I’d recommend checking them out because they’re definitely worth the read! As of now, they’re currently working on Part 2 of the Mega Man 3 adaption (titled “The Ultimate Betrayal”).

Hey if Karu is gonna post her Pokesona here I guess I shall too now that I've designed one. XD; It was between this and another pokemon... but this suits me more. The other pokemon I drew will probably be made into a character later.
