For those who are RPing through Skype

Microsoft has updated its Terms of Service and especially its Code of Conduct to make the use of offensive language and any sharing of nudity and pornographic content a punishable offence on their services. Those services include openly Microsoft branded ones, but also Skype.

So far, it is unclear how this will be handled and how far personal chats are included in this, but since it has been made clear that inappropriate content even in E-Mails sent through Outlook can be considered an offence you all should be careful!

Punishments for a breach of the CoC might include, on the low end of things, a temporary ban or simply your messages being held, but it can be as dire as a cancellation of your Microsoft account if the offence is deemed bad enough.

Remember, fiction with NSFW content is still considered NSFW material and roleplay with sexual themes is considered sexting in the eyes of the law. There is no way to tell right now how Microsoft might handle NSFW (violent or sexual) roleplay under these new Terms of Service.

If you do not want to take the chance, a good alternative to Skype is Discord.

So, you're the victim here, @merelytailors, yeah? You're being harassed and lies are being spread? Nobody, not one single person has been talking about you until you sent yourself anon hate and got caught doing it. Now you're trying to deflect by lashing out at anyone who ever called out your bullshit.

Because that is what it all comes down to.

Guess what, snowflake, I don't fucking care if you have an entire folder full of papers saying that you are suffering from mental illness. Mental illness is not an excuse for being an arsehole, over and over again.

You catfished me, my husband and a good friend of mine. You deliberately created a false identity to shmooze up to us AFTER we had you blocked. And when I called you out on that, rather politely, if I may say so myself, and told you never to contact me again, it took you all of three days TO SEND ME ANOTHER MESSAGE ON TUMBLR, essentially asking me to backhand-promo your new blog.

And yes, then I was less polite. Because you ignored the express statement NEVER to contact me again.

And that isn't even the start of it. The reason I blocked you the first time around was because I could see the red flags of a toxic, emotional leech from the second you made a derogatory comment about killing yourself. And then, after you lied your way into our Discord group, I asked you MULTIPLE TIMES to stop with the dramatics. I asked you nicely. Yeah, kiddo, I know people like you. You are a fucking textbook abusive personality, leeching off of people for your own validation.

I've seen people like you pull this exact shit, this chronic victim, woe-is-me routine, including sending yourself anon hate, crying about how much hate you get and blaming everyone who doesn't lap up your shit.

I have seen what bottom feeders like you do to people and I have fucking had it.

Now you have nothing better to do than come to a friend of mine and accuse not only me, but HER, one of the sweetest people I know, to be responsible for the 'anon hate' you've been getting?

The only 'shit' I've been giving you was justified by you being a lying, abusive, drama stirring shitstain. But hey, come on, bring the proof of where I have given you shit. You know, proof that I don't have already in the form of screenshots.

@tailorofkings how do i tell if its rp or a fic or just a post. The tags are confusing to me. I can usually tell when it two people back and forthing the reblog or when theres a pixellated pic at the top but sometimes i cant tell Im sorry. I think i’ve reblogged rp before. I will try harder not to.

One of the first things to look for is: Is the blog you are reblogging from a Roleplay blog. Pretty much all of them say so in one way or another in their blog description. If so, it is HIGHLY likely that the posts made on that blog are in some way roleplay related.

The next thing is: If it sounds like it is written in character, if it has direct speech, if it is @-tagged for another Roleplay blog, if it is a back and forth between two character blogs IT IS ROLEPLAY.

Honestly, if you want to be safe: Don’t reblog anything story or character related from roleplay blogs.

Some of us are alright with it, but most are not. It messes with our activity and makes keeping track of threads immensely difficult, meaning the writer you like enough to want to have their writing on your blog is having a hell of a hard time DOING that writing.

At least for me it is also, that you are taking a part of a greater work entirely out of context and possibly misrepresent something for your own enjoyment and no matter what most people seem to think on this website, not everything is for them to do with as they please.

I am currently at a point with this fandom where I don’t want to roleplay anymore as a Kingsman character because of the overwhelming number of OOC/Personal blogs that give a rats arse about us roleplayers beyond satisfying their (mostly shipping) wishes. I am also very close to, without warning, block personal blogs for reblogging roleplay.
