"Put down that burger... you're fat enough already." .............................................. [LAUGHS AND FALLS INTO THE ABYSS IM DONE HERE]
"I do what I want!" EATS MORE.
"You look cold. Wanna use me as a blanket?"
"Nah, I've got enough blankets. My blankets get more game than you."
"I was feeling a little off today, but you definitely turned me on." .................................... [i didnt troll you with pick up lines in forever]
"Hello, you've reached the 'Your Pick-Up Line Game Needs Improvement' Hot-line. Please hold--"
"Oi, Kagami. Did you get more fat and slow, 'cause you look different from last time I saw you."
"Hey Aomine, I think you became more stupid because your insults still suck."
Narrowed gaze of heterochromatic hues locked onto the taller male's features, observing, as the owner hesitated with providing his speech. Yet after few moments, when whist staring became awkward, he spoke through parted lips. "—You're still alive, Taiga. And I hoped dogs ate you." ...................... [no kawaiikashi for you yet]
Kagami stared at the other for a moment and held back a scowl, instead smirking at Akashi slightly. "Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful. Oh? I had hoped you would have been eaten by dogs too. We think so alike... It's almost upsetting."
They finally talk after long period of time and as always it started with insults, something that would probably never change. And he felt kind of relieved, not fully grasping reasons behind, but even if they talk didn’t start nicely it still felt good after days of screaming silence and complete loneliness, when only Momoi nagged him and he had chats with Kuroko from time to time. For him in his life there was a deep gap, that couldn’t be filled even by those two, no matter how hard they tried, yet it happened that their help wasn’t needed in the end. Moving an eyebrow, he continued to peer at the other, frowning more after he got a retort back. "I’m not gonna blame anyone, I’ll punch you once and will feel better." He fended away the other words with his own response, even though it wasn’t meant literally, despite the fact that those two concrete power forwards had a literal fight before. To come up with more adequate reaction was nearly impossible, he was happy, but didn’t have way to express it any other way.
To say he was annoyed at that moment also or pissed off meant to say nothing, as it was far from what sensation dwelled within him. By some odd reason, he only wore such expression by default, being accustomed to use it as protection from other people getting close to him, and that day it was something different. "Then whose fault? You acted like a chicken.” Those words were dropped with an uncovered exasperation at Kagami’s actions, yet was he really one to blame? The Touou ace did the same before; unbeknown and obscure feelings scared him and repelled him back, he had zero knowledge and experience in dealing with it and beyond doubt didn’t intend to run and ask for a help. And so was the other.
He exhaled one more time and shifted his gaze at Kagami, while turning a bit and directing after his regard in the direction of the court they usually played on. "Forget it, did you bring a ball? I feel utmost bored, so warm-up will be at least entertaining." He perfectly knew that they needed to talk and to have a serious talk, but those two always came unskilled, when it was ‘bout conversation, exposing feels and thoughts, as it seemed better to do and act one way or another. To be honest, he didn’t want to talk or ‘grind’ the past; he lived in the past for a long, so it was time for a future and possible fresh start.
"You punch me, and I swear I will punch you right back," Kagami growled, but there was no real heat to his threat. In fact, it was fairly... flaccid. Even if he wanted to hit Aomine, he really couldn't. Whatever was wrong with him made him frustrated, and it showed very clearly on his face. While he was glad to see the other, there was a lot that had to be resolved, a lot to be spoken about, and Kagami wasn't sure if he was ready to admit it.
His eyes had darted away once again from giving Aomine a very intense stare, but that stare returned just as quickly as it had arrived. "I didn't act like shit!" He scowled hard, but he had to remember where he was, quieting and shoving his hands in his pockets. "And no, I didn't bring a ball. I wasn't expecting to play basketball." He may love basketball, but on a normal day like now, he didn't really take the time to always carry a basketball around.
His eyes stayed on Aomine, a heavy sigh leaving him after a moment. "My apartment isn't too far from here," he informed, even though he figured the other already knew that. "We can stop by there and I can grab it if you really want to play." Although, it seemed like a very inappropriate time to even play basketball with how tense they were with each other.
But that's how they were. Never talk about it. Forgive and forget. However, this time, it was a bit different. They needed to talk about it, despite how obvious it was that neither one of them wanted to. He walked in the direction of his apartment, beckoning Aomine with a slight bob of his head, "Come on. I'll run in and grab it." He already started walking in that direction, and he knew that if Aomine really wanted to be around him, then he was free to follow.
His head still reminded him a top of a rock, that tried to slide to the side or even fall off at all; and something that filled his chest didn’t make it any better. Restless nights and even insomnia that became replaced only during classes, when power forward slept on the desk, ignoring teacher’s remarks. Compressed and tense sensation, something that suppressed from unknown direction, but he just clearly felt that pressure and he wasn’t able to get rid of it fast; everything changes since he lost, yet he obtained something as well. Disgusting feeling of weakness, that started to come to his understanding after some time. He lost. Abominable and repulsive feeling of own incapability; he felt worthless, like a failure.
And how utterly laughable that the reason, or more to say person, who showed how blind he was and tossed Aomine’s weakness straight in his face managed to become one of closes people to him, on a par with Kuroko and Momoi. Still— Some time passed and they didn’t see each other, days lingered and the tanned teen easily got bored without worthy entertainment he found with the redhead. Yet by mischanse or not after long time they went in contact newly and even arranged meeting. Kagami didn’t wear any happy expressions on his visage, when the finally face on the alley and silence fell upon the two, as none of them attempted to start talking. Letting out a bit of annoyed sigh, Aomine frowned and stared at the other, desiding to start first.
"Took centuries to get back, Bakagami? And what’s with your face? You look like you see a curse.” The Touou ace hissed out with a slightly tired tone that provided his words, even if he felt slightly relieved, seeing the other male. After all the time and all fights they shared, there still was unidentified feeling, he wasn’t capable to describe.
There wasn't much Kagami could say to the other, and he already knew it whenever he thought about him. It was hard to think about anything that had to do with him, but he did. Consistently too. It messed with his head, got him off of his game, and even more so, it made him annoyed at himself for even feeling depressed. Sometimes, he wished he could have banged his head against the wall to make his brain shut down so he could think clearly. Obviously, he'd probably end up in the hospital if he did that, so he refrained.
He found ways to cope though. After a while, he stopped thinking about it so much. It frustrated him more than it helped him, but this meeting, whilst it was a refreshing change of pace, made him want to turn the other way for a few reasons. One main reason was because he wasn't sure what to say, and even though he could feel one of his thick eyebrows twitch annoyingly at the other's words, he was relieved he spoke up first.
"I haven't seen a curse, dumbass," Kagami scowled at him, huffing quietly under a breath and very willing to flip him the bird, but he stopped himself. "Anyways, things happened. Don't blame me for it," he retorted back, but his voice quieted near the end because staring at Aomine still had him mesmerized like before. He felt very stupid and silly for feeling a twist in his gut and his cheeks flame at being stared -- almost a little invasive -- by Aomine. It was like he was trying to figure him out, and it was mildly irritating.
"What? Don't look all pissed off. Like I said, it's not my fault," the redhead scoffed, looking away from the other and shuffling his feet absent-mindedly. He didn't want to be scrutinized, but considering the circumstances.. He understood why.
Whistling, he draws his hand back and gets up. ”Ya want the cheese burger, right?"
Without really a full confirmation, Aomine went on the line to order, standing lazily until it was his turn. He ordered three cheese burger for Kagami and two teriyaki for himself. Of course two burgers wouldn’t fill up someone like him, but he’ll eat better food once he got home. Coming back with the three full meals because, well, Aomine felt a little nice. Setting the tray down, a straw in his mouth as he slurps his drink, the bluenette arches a brow and holds out a hand towards Kagami.
He wants his payment and he wants it now.
Once Aomine was up and went to go grab their food, Kagami finally took a seat in the opposing side, taking out his phone to see if he had any messages. He looked up when Aomine returned, his eyes widening at the unexpected amount of food on his tray. Then again, he did get meals for it all, which was a bit excessive, but who was he to complain? Free food. He was about to reach for the food until Aomine's hand out-stretched towards him, rolling his eyes and taking out a few yen bills to make up for the meal. So really, it wasn't free food, but at least he could have the slight pride in degrading Aomine into buying him food. He immediately grabbed his food and drink right after, glancing briefly up at Aomine as he began to unravel his cheeseburger, "Thanks for the food." Right after, he took a big, unnecessary chomp of his sandwich, pretty much already reaching the half-way point of the burger.
"I wouldn’t really go that far but now that you’ve point that out, I’ll probably do that if you don’t treat me, Kagami-kun." It was odd how he often express his emotions but guess it was all worth it if he can express them sincerely this way. Only people who are close to him are able to see such unguarded phantom. "I don’t mind but that is if I still have money in my wallet." You know how he is often at money crisis now right?
Nods.” They should still be open by now.” Though talking about Maji Burger made the phantom ponder on his own. How long has it been since he last went to Maji Burger actually? Due to practice he could barely stop by and buy his favorite drink. Ah.. That’s right. He hadn’t been able to drink Vanilla Milkshake as well. No wonder he couldn’t decline his offer. “Hm..” He hummed weakly at this realization.
"Bah! I need to stop giving you ideas," Kagami grumbled but only playfully when they walked in, luckily with hardly a line. He didn't mean his grumbling seriously though, smiling at his friend, but before he really heard Kuroko talk about his money issue, he ordered his usual alongside Kuroko's usual and paid for it without a second thought. He paused though when he mentioned money, his eyes narrowing. "What do you even spend all your money on? First, you're practically rich for our age, and then you're broke. Do you splurge?" On what thought? Clothes, maybe, but he didn't take Kuroko for someone who bought clothes on a consistent basis. Jewelry? Definitely not.
He scooted over once the payment was finished, standing by the wait counter besides his teammate. He quirked a brow at the sudden hum from his friend and lightly pulled his ear. "Are you alright, Kuroko?" He stared at his face, making sure he didn't look sick or anything. "Something on your mind?"

"As long as edible I’m fine with it." Bless your kind soul, Kagami.
"Yep. Completely edible. Gooey cheese, cooked ground beef, and some other toppings." He tries.

"Will nachos be okay?"
"Food..."
Kise hummed contemplating his choices. He wasn’t so much worried about the calories now, it was more so what would taste the best. It had been a while since he splurged like this, so it was a tough choice to make. Since they constantly changed the menu too, there were a few things he hadn’t tried before. “I’m not going to get too small. Even if I go on the skinny side, I can just take some protein to make up for it.”
"The double burger huh?" Kise quickly scanned the board for the item and looked it over. It did look pretty good, but he wasn’t sure that was what he wanted for sure. "Wait… You sure do know a lot about this stuff, Kagamicchi. I thought you didn’t care about eating healthy. What gives?"
"Ah? What sort of protein blend do you use? Whey?" Kagami was already read up on that too! He started having protein shakes as an added bonus for his post-breakfast, and they were always great for after practicing on the court or going for a long jog.
"Wh-What? What made you think I didn't care about eating healthy?" Just because he had an inhumane -- possibly, unhealthy -- appetite didn't mean he didn't care about his health. "I'm always reading about health foods." Not only was he subscribed to sports magazines, which contained numerous articles on health, he was subscribed to a men's health magazine and many food magazines, which always contained something about being healthy alongside healthy recipes. It was a mainstay in the mainstream magazines nowadays. "What gave you the impression I don't care about my health?" He watched his health closely. If it got too bad, that would mean no more basketball, and he'd rather die than never have that.
Picks at ears. “You totally were." Pushing the door open to Maji Burgers, not bothering to hold it for the other, Aomine heads straight to the usual seat he ate at. Sitting down with a thud, the bluenette lets out a soft sigh and glances out the large glass window.
“I never said you had to give me money for it. I was saying I’m only buying you three since I gotta save money for the magazine, but since you offered…"
Grinning, he opens his palm, “I’ll gladly take what you gotta offer."
Kagami's thick brows furrowed, pushing the door open right after Aomine with a roll of his eyes because the guy still couldn't be considerate. He sighed, but he didn't sit when Aomine did, his hands on his hips and giving him a look before slapping the up-raised hand. "I want my burgers first. You said you would. Then I'll give you money for your stupid ass magazine," he scowled slightly at the thought of supporting such a habit for someone else, but this was for the good of the burgers. He wanted to believe that three burgers didn't quite equate to the amount of a magazine, but he wasn't sure because he had never bought a magazine like that.
Kuroko had deem it creepy as well but it was his true and honest feelings. He wasn’t really they type to hold back if he wanted to show something and foremost, his way of expressing them can be quiet unique and violent. Nonetheless, he does it out of love. Chuckling over the ruffle the other had done, the bluet exclaim in response to his offer. “As long as it’s Kagami-kun’s treat, who am I to reject such offer.”
Ah. They were finally back. His light who had been missing for months was here in front of him, still the same as before. Thank God his patience of waiting him didn’t go to waste.
"Of course! I think you'd definitely replace me if I didn't treat you to at least one milkshake since I've been gone for so long," Kagami scratched the back of his head meekly, grinning excitedly at Kuroko however because it was nice to be able to pick up where they left off. He was fairly lucky to have a friend like him to be able to just act like nothing wrong happened in between and keep moving forward as friends. "But you'll need to treat me next time, alright--?"
"Maji wouldn't be closed right now, right? 24 hours still?" He assumed so, beckoning Kuroko along so they could sit, eat, and catch up. "Anyways, what's been up with you? Anything new I should know about?"
“You’re the one who bugged me for it. Don’t act so surprised. I don’t want to hear your stupid whining it hurts my ears. You’re like Satsuki…" he grumbled. Hands stuffed into his pockets, the bluenette walks on ahead.
”Good. I need money for Mai-chan’s new magazine release.”
"I wasn't whining!" Kagami snapped, albeit gently because he still had yet to get his food. He couldn't risk not getting it because he decided to suddenly punch Aomine in his annoying face. He followed after, grumbling quietly to himself about how flippant Aomine could be, but that was just part of his.. Charm, for the lack of a better word.
"I'm not feeding your perverted tradition," Kagami drawled, frowning to himself at the thought. "If I give you the money, then sure, but I'm not walking in there and buying it for you. I'll be labeled a loser like you."
