Despite being a huge Digimon fan and having repeatedly dragged my friends into the franchise, kicking and screaming, I have yet to finish a SINGLE Digimon game.

In fairness I love Time Stranger, but it was SO long, that after weeks of playing it, I got sick of it and had to put it down. But after a few weeks I picked it back up and finished it.

Me: A lot of blogs I follow are dead. Still a few good active ones but... OH I KNOW, Why don't I try and get involved with another fandom? Maybe Pokemon?

Full Confession: I'm afraid that Digimon Beatbreak might end up being another "Appmon" to the fandom. I will tell anyone who will listen how underrated Appmon is, and how great of a story it is. But now Beatbreak is really great too, I think it's on track to be the only series I've enjoyed since Appmon (and before that, I hadn't enjoyed any since Data Squad/Savers) But I see quite a few fans, but I also see tons of people and even 'news' articles saying it's boring and way too slow. Well… I feel like an old Jijimon but… I blame how people these days want everything fast and now, and have short attention spans. I freaking love the slow build. Slow builds is part of why I love Tamers so much too. Sorry for my rant, I am just afraid that in five years I might be saying "You gotta watch Appmon AND Beatbreak!! They are both amazing series that deserve more attention!!

You should seriously watch Digimon Beatbreak if you want a series that criticizes the drilled-in dependance on ai and its effects on society and those who do not fill the mold corporations want you to fit in, it’s THE Punk Digimon anime

I was really afraid going into Digimon Beatbreak, especially after I realized that since Digimon Savers/Data Squad I've only really liked Applimon. But Beatbreak is really different and even though the story hasn't really gone anywhere big yet, it feels like something is building, and I'm really excited for where it goes.

I'm tired of the hate Dub fans get to this day. Listen, I get it, I really do. But being completely honest, for me personally, I don't think there's any time - when I found it as a teenager - to now, that I would have wanted to watch the sub, if not for the dub. The "Dumb jokes" is part of the appeal for me. Now don't get me wrong, I have since went back and watched Adventure-Tamers subbed, and it was very interesting to go back and see what the original version was like. But I will always prefer the dub. And I'm sorry, "Do you know what a semi-conductor is?" - "A guy who works part time on a train?" will always make me smile.
