In a disappointing turn of events, she can’t be with Jack on her birthday/christmas/or some other holiday in their first year together, so she sits down to work on the pile of torn clothes. As she works through each torn garment, she reminisces in short flashes about how the clothes were torn/cut/otherwise rendered unfit. Meanwhile, Jack is getting ready to surprise her on her doorstep after she’s spent the evening getting all worked up by her memories. Fulfillment ensues.
