okay real talk tho. i know a lot of people say that its okay to take mental health days and skip classes, as long as you dont skip too many. and while this is true for some, its not true for everyone. for some people, taking a mental health day and skipping class can make your mental health worse.

for example, im allowed to miss 5 or 6 days of school before i take finals, as long as my parents call me in sick. my parents promote me to take breaks when needed and i did once or twice. but i quickly realized that missing classes made my mental health worse. by skipping school and missing new content, missing reviews, not seeing my friends, etc. i was making myself worse.

so my point is: find what works for you. if you need to skip a few classes every once in a while for the sake of your mental health, do it but be careful not to do it too often. if skipping classes makes your mental health worse, then dont do it, but be carful not to overwork yourself.
