——— —           ❛      ALRIGHT,   HERE’S  THE  PLAN.     ❜           stepping  out  of  a  rather  well-landed  canon,   lucretia  looks  back  at  her  adventuring  companion.    from  decades  of  COMPANIONSHIP    (  however  unknown  to  taako ),    she  certainly  had  faith  in  him     —     however,   it  wasn’t  like  she  had  too  much  of  a  CHOICE.    this  was  a  wizards  only  event,   and  whilst  her  organization  was  full  of  powerful  fighters,  experienced  rogues,  and  one  very  talented  bard       ——        they  were  a  little  short  on  WIZARDS.    not  wanting  to  go  alone,    she  figured  taako  was  the  perfect  companion  to  retrieve  this  minor  but  POWERFUL  magical  item.

               ❛     we  don’t  want  to  raise  suspicions,  so  we’re  just  regular  convention  goers.   we’ll  find  out  where  they’re  holding  it  and  extract  it  before  anyone  notices  we’re  THERE.     ❜           perhaps  this  was  FUTILE,   traveling  with  taako  and  all,   but  she  didn’t  want  to  cause  a  RUCKUS.     speaking  of  which,  now  that  they’re  out  of  the  canon,  she  can  take  a  good  look  at  taako’s  elaborate  ensemble.    a  small  smile  crosses  her  face.          ❛     i  thought  we  were  keeping  a  LOW  PROFILE.     ❜

     WIZARDCON.    They really have a convention for everything these days, don’t they ?  At his point he could just assemble an exceptionally good stew and there would be a con for that. Ridiculous !   When the plan was first mentioned to him, he’s sure his brain might have cracked at the time; just the mere idea made way for plenty of jokes and banter.  However, even in his glee he understood the gravity of the situation.    ( As well as a general curiosity to what the fuck a WizardCON would look like. )      So, naturally, he agreed to it. 

    ❝   Well this is a wizard conference, correct?  Shouldn’t I look wizardly for my people? ❞   Flashing starry garments completed an extravagant look. Yes, perhaps he did get a little carried away with the colors... and YES, perhaps he DID look more like a space emperor than a standard magician.    But I swear this is normal stuff.     ❝ It’s smart! ❞  He says.  ❝  I bet you, as soon as we walk trough that door people are going to be dressed exactly like this. ❞

     He was incorrect however. The conference hall was as beautiful and extravagant as one could imagine an army of wizards would cook up: A ceiling reaching for the galaxy’s edge, walls that’d shift here and there, enchanted food that would make you fly, GARRIM the Cat-Mascot and Keeper of Secrets, booths as far as the eye could see !  But anyway the outfits left something to be desired. Which Taako didn’t really know how to respond to other than a           ❝    Well...  ❞  The elf says and points at the scene with a tone uncertain.    ❝  Let’s gooOooOo... ! ?  ❞

To be fair my absolute favorite stories are the ones with like.. a deep focus on  the characters. Like a big cast and we all slowly but surely get to know them.. see about their personal lives, what their past has been like. You know, as if getting to know a person. There’s a plot but it’s often just a simple thing, another way to bring them all together. A lot of the time they bend or shape the plot and not the other way around. 

Yea I like that. I like character stories.

  ❝   Well I am what some may call... a wizard. ❞   And this was said as if it were to be impressive, something to be   feared   even.   Not that it was difficult to see through his mockery however, clearly he was just trying to screw a bit with the other person.   Wizards enough out there !

     Still, he kind of enjoyed the act.  Trying to hold in laughter at his own little game.    Oh,  no poor mortal would ever want to be unfortunate enough to cross Taako: the ex tv cook.

    ❝   Well you know how it goes...   Some people read a book and they can remember it the next day but I don’t !    I    CREATE    knowledge !  ❞        It was at this point that Taako dared make some unappealing moves with his umbrella. Swung it around like a near-maniac trying to chase a fly out of the room. A trail of sparkles and debatable magic following every beat.     It all accounted to nothing of course. This was all show but for the time being you had to admit; it did look pretty whack.    ❝ Anyway that’s all I wanted to say. ❞

            ❛      ain’t  that  a  tad  boring ,    seeing  all  that  space  has  to  offer  and  then  deciding  to  stay  rooted  in  place  ??      ❜        she’s  compelled  to  inquire ,    the pull  of  a  life  living  on  a  knives  edge  was  deep  within  this  one  you  see .    incapable  of  staying  still ,    STAGNANT . 

     ❝   I am perhaps the boringest wizard you will ever meet. You can count on that. ❞    He says  half jokingly, perhaps a bit aloof.  Of course the opposite was true: If there’s been any constant in Taako’s life as of late, it would be the inability to escape life-altering adventures. You could say he’s been in the ZONE.     

    ❝  I'm sure the confines of space will do well without me. ❞
