[on the subject of Big Finish ‘Unbound’ audio Exile] I think I made a lot of bad decisions on that. At the time I thought, 'I don’t want to do the “typical” thing, which is just to do a Doctor who is female and just does Doctor-y things. […] It was appalling, really. I’m quite ashamed of it… It feels like it was from another era. I would never wish anyone to judge me on all those ill-made decisions. And it’s such a shame, is it not, that we didn’t do a really good female Doctor who we could have written further adventures for, like we did with [fellow 'Unbound’ Doctor] David Warner. I’ve regretted that for quite some time.

It’s just ridiculously disrespectful. The new Doctor will have their time in the spotlight in just a few months. This is a time when we should be celebrating Peter’s tenure as the Doctor and now it’s going to be overshadowed. Makes me so damn mad.

I am sad af. I wanted this to be about Team DW. I wanted to celebrate all of them. Except now every hoe tabloid/newspaper/magazine/forum/tweet/tumblr post… anything #DW will be about 13. 

Because who ever cares/cared about what we just had. 

Every frickin moment since 2014… ‘Will Peter leave after one series?’ ‘Will Peter be replaced by a new Doctor soon?’ ‘Here are 20 people who should replace Peter Capaldi as the Doctor’ ‘It is now time for a female Doctor’ ‘Doctor Who ratings have fallen under Capaldi’s tenure’ ‘Is Steven Moffat out of touch?’ ‘Peter Capaldi got served the worst writing of Doctor Who history’…

Anger isn’t the word I’ll use to describe my feelings right now. It’s just good old-fashioned RESENTMENT AGAINST ANYONE WHO NEVER GAVE PETER CAPALDI A DAMN CHANCE.

I am beyond sad. This was the last bit of time Peter & the rest of s10 had to bask in the glory of all their hard work & effort- and it’s being overshadowed by the announcement of the next Doctor. Wow, BBC, your timing fucking sucks! Talk about disrespectful! It’s like you shoved Peter, et al, out the back door & ushered Chibnall & the rest through the front door. Tacky, to say the least. Though I have only been a fan for about 1 ½ years, & Peter is my 1st Doctor, I feel like you couldn’t wait to get rid of him. I love Doctor Who, & will always be a fan, but right now, I’m a little less of a fan. 😪😪

It gets worse, the BBC are also advertising a job for Head of Franchise Marketing, Doctor Who this month. The BBC couldn’t be f***ed with marketing when Peter was the Doctor…..and blamed him for the flagging merchandise sales…..and yet, we fans have been crying out for Series 9 and now 10 soundtracks

I met Steven Moffat today

And I decided to thank him for Sherlock because my brother and I used to watch it together and it gave us so many good memories before he passed away. However, I broke down in tears while speaking to him and he grabbed my hand and told me it was OK and I was apologizing and he told me not to because that was my brother.

I told him I appreciated that scene where Sherlock and John are talking and John just says it is what it is. Because when you are grieving people often say the wrong thing to you and that scene just really meant something to me because it wasn’t saying it was OK or that it was going to be OK. Moffat then said to me, “It is what it is, and what it is, is shit.” He then told me to have a good time and make friends and that there’s nothing wrong with that and my brother would want me to.

He was so kind to me and he was really my hero today. I am so grateful I got to meet him.

For Monday Motivation, this wonderful moment happened at the BFI & Radio Times TV Festival. A fan asked what were the Doctor’s feelings on cyberbullying and how he fights it. Steven Moffat answered first, apologizing that the fan was dealing with such an awful thing. When he passed the question over to Peter, we were given this amazing and profound speech.

I must sound like a broken record when I keep saying I’ll miss Peter’s Doctor, but I mean it every time. I love him dearly, but I love Peter more for the person that he is. The amount of love and care he has for everyone is so touching. He really is one of the most beautiful human beings on Earth! ♥
